Pinky and Digit are the pet skags of Nine-Toes, and are encountered in Nine-Toes' lair during the mission Nine-Toes: Take Him Down.

Appearance

They look like two skags with a ridiculous amount of armor attached to their backs.

Location

They appear alongside Nine-Toes in his hideout in Skag Gully.

Strategy

  • Whilst basic anti-skag strategy can be applied to this pair, often additional measures need to be taken by less experienced players who find this fight a challenging one. Players using Mordecai have been especially noted for having their work cut out for them here, as this character often has a limited effectiveness at close ranges. Jumping up onto the sides of Nine-Toes' arena can place a character out of harm's way. The skags are able to make the same ascent, however they frequently land on any of the bleachers which can still be exploited to keep them at a distance.
  • Both Pinky and Digit are known to display a charging attack usually exhibited by higher level skags. They have been known to roar immediately as they appear. If equipped with a sniper rifle, it's quite reasonable to achieve at least one mouth-shot when they appear, making the fight considerably easier.
  • They both have heavily armoured backs, leading to them having a high bullet resistance (possible greater than that of alpha skags), making them harder to take down.
  • Killing Nine-Toes first and picking up The Clipper can make this fight all the more easier, as the fire element can potentially damage the pair even further. Lilith can be very deadly in this situation.

Trivia

  • Their names are both references to toes, continuing the theme of Nine-Toes' name and the name of the gun he drops, The Clipper.
  • While their Master does respawn during playthroughs, these skags only spawn once per playthrough, a rarity for most of the game's boss-type enemies.
  • These two spawn beside Nine-Toes in Mad Moxxi's Underdome.
  • These two are also surpisingly more harder and pack a bigger punch then their Master does.
