*Whilst basic anti-skag strategy can be applied to this pair, often additional measures need to be taken by less experienced players who find this fight a challenging one. Players using [[Mordecai]] have been especially noted for having their work cut out for them here, as this character often has a limited effectiveness at close ranges. Jumping up onto the sides of Nine-Toes' arena can place a character out of harm's way. The skags are able to make the same ascent, however they frequently land on any of the bleachers which can still be exploited to keep them at a distance.

*Both Pinky and Digit are known to display a charging attack usually exhibited by higher level skags. They have been known to roar immediately as they appear. If equipped with a sniper rifle, it's quite reasonable to achieve at least one mouth-shot when they appear, making the fight considerably easier.

*They both have heavily armoured backs, leading to them having a high bullet resistance (possible greater than that of alpha skags), making them harder to take down.
