Phoenix is a respawnable mini-boss encountered in Borderlands 3.
Background
Phoenix is a unique Rakk with lair located on a small plateau not far away from the entry point to The Splinterlands. It is also on the Sir Hammerlocks trophy list.

Notes
- After the first ressurection, it's renamed to Reborn Phoenix and to Legendary Phoenix after the second.
- Phoenix has an increased chance to drop the Malak's Bane, Deathless, and Phoenix Tears.
- For unknown reasons, the monster can sometimes resurrect more than three times, with an attendant increase in hit points and damage output (some players ingaming forums have reported seeing the creature respawn as many as six times). It is unknown if there is any added benefit or chance to drop loot from these additional resurrections.
