Pestilence is a legendary pistol in Borderlands 3 manufactured by COV. It can only be obtained from Sylestro in Tazendeer Ruins on Nekrotafeyo.
Special Weapon Effects
Go forth conquering, and to conquer. – Always radiation. Increased fire rate. When the weapon breaks, it produces a radiation nova that damages both the user and nearby enemies.
Usage & Description
The Pestilence performs well for a weapon of its class, but care must be used to prevent overheating as the self-damage can potentially cripple the user.
Notes
- When paired with the Red Suit shield, it can be used as an offensive weapon as the shield will negate the Pestilence's user-inflicted damage.
Trivia
- The name and flavor text reference the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in Revelation 6:2 of the King James Bible. The verse reads, "And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer."
- Though this horseman isn't named, they are often called Conquest or Pestilence.
