One Pump Chump

One Pump Chump is a legendary shotgun in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Jakobs. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from One Punch located in Lectra City on Promethea.

Special Weapon Effects

I swear, that has never happened before. – Extremely high damage. Reduced pellet count. Fixed magazine size of 1. 50% chance not to consume ammo.

Usage & Description

Due to the relatively low power of sniper rifles in Borderlands 3, this weapon can be a very effective, high-powered alternative, with damage that far out-performs similarly-leveled weapons. It also generally spawns with a 3.5x scope which is typically more useful than the extremely high magnification on most sniper scopes.

Notes

Although not listed on the item card, critical hits will still ricochet bullets to the nearest enemy.
After a 3/12/2020 hotfix, the One Pump Chump had its damage increased.

Trivia

The flavor text and the name of the gun are references to premature ejaculation; e.g., a man who can only last for a "pump" or two.
