"Death rains from above"
The Nidhogg is Hyperion's orange Rocket Launcher. It is potentially very damaging, but its usefulness is diminished by its limited range.

Special Effect
- Death rains from above - After about 60 yards it explodes, sometimes into 6 more rockets flying in all directions perpendicular to the line of fire.
Acquiring Hyperion Nidhogg
This weapon can be obtained through many ways including - Looting chests and weapon crates throughout Pandora, dropped by higher level enemies and can be on sale at weapon vendors infrequently.
Notes
- Because the Nidhogg is manufactured by Hyperion, rocket launchers of this flavor have extremely high accuracy - often to such an extent that it could be used as a sniper rifle of sorts did the rockets not explode after a set distance. **Lilith's High Velocity skill can drastically increase that distance, particularly when paired with the Mercenary class mod.
- The Nidhogg can come equipped with any elemental damage type.
Trivia
- Nidhogg is the name of Norse mythological dragon who gnaws one of the three roots of Yggdrasill.
- The red text effect could be a reference to President Truman's statement to Japan during World War 2, stating that if Japan would not surrender, "a Rain of Death would fall from the sky."
