Changes: New-U Station

New-U Stations are antenna-like stations scattered through out Pandora, primarily located at outposts and transition points. The New-U-Station serves a vital function, it stores your DNA in the unlikely event of death or dismemberment, your 'new you' will appear at the last station you activated.

There are 2 versions of the New-U-Stations. The interactive model is mainly located at major towns or outposts. The smaller non-interactive version are scattered in less populated areas such as caves. Both types of stations do two things; act as a save point and a respawn point in case of death. When a player comes with in range of a station, the red light will change to green, and the game will automatically save.

The fully interactive version has additional functions. They allow the player to change their characters' name and color of their outfit, reset their current skills for a small fee and, access to the Fast Travel network. When the player arrives on Pandora the Fast Travel network is offline and is unavailable until the player restarts it in the Dahl Headlands.

New-U-Stations are manufactured by Hyperion. The Hyperion logo is just above the holographic access panel.

New-U Stations offer several functions accessible by the player.

Notes

The fee for respawning at a New-U station costs you 10% of however much money you have on you. For example, if you are carrying $1,000, the fee would be $100.
Teleporting using a New-U station is free of charge.
These stations are one of 3 ways to save your game in borderlands, the others being transitioning between areas and exiting the game.
