The Neogenator is a Legendary Adaptive Shield manufactured by Anshin. Neogenator is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Spycho located in Frostburn Canyon.

Usage & Description
The lower the wearer's shields the faster the health recovery. Health recovery stops if the shield is depleted. Damage caused while the shield is active increases health regeneration.
The shield is largely a niche-build-item, particularly valuable to characters such as a Brawn Gunzerker or a Tanky Harmony Siren making use of Recompense. It has all the benefits of a blue Anshin shield, high resistance, and the low capacity/fast recharge of a Tediore shield. Characters reliant on taking health damage instead of soaking it up with a shield might consider a Neogenator over a typical Adaptive shield.
The Seraph shield Evolution works similarly to the Neogenator with the difference that the Evolution has greater capacity (for equivalent shields of same level and components, the Evolution doubles the Neogenator capacity), with the drawback of having larger recharge delay and inferior recharge rate. For most general uses the Evolution may be considered superior to the Neogenator because the latter has lower capacity compared to regular shields of the same level. Both shields carry the same health boost, regeneration, and elemental resistance, provided they have the same components.
When initially equipped the Neogenator has no elemental resistance. It will not adopt an elemental resistance until after taking elemental damage. The shield loses its resistance after depletion.
