The Mining Laser is a unique laser manufactured by Hyperion. It is one of two possible rewards for completing the optional mission Infinite Loop. DAN-TRP will offer it as a reward if CLAP-9000 is disabled.
Special Weapon Effects
PROTOTYPE - Authorized personnel only. – Increased damage. Possesses railgun barrel but fires three projectiles in a tight spread at the cost of seven ammo per shot. Fixed triangular spread pattern.
Usage & Description
The railgun's damage, paired with the three projectiles, result in a deadly weapon at short to long range combat. The fixed spread pattern often makes getting all three projectiles to hit difficult at longer ranges and the weapon's potential is not fully realised. That said, the Mining Laser's pattern makes getting hits on moving targets easier at long range. It is also an excellent choice against large enemies where it's increased damage and multiple projectiles can inflict considerable damage.
