A good strategy is to wait until they pause and utilize a shotgun to take them down quickly. They tend to do low damage, but will daze and should normally be of low priority to kill, especially since they can take some time to locate. It is easy to know when they are coming due to their higher-pitched shriek. Normally, they come after the first wave of zombies has arrived and function as a nuisance and distraction.

Description

A Midget Zombie is a Zombie version of a Midget.

Strategy

They will run towards you like Psychos. When they get to midrange, they pause for a second preparing their leap attack.

Notes

These are quite annoying because:

  1. When they leap and miss they are REALLY!! hard to find. Sometimes they get stuck behind rocks or other obstacles.
  2. Their small stature and high speed makes it hard to get a critical hit unless you are wielding a shotgun or similar spread weapon.
  3. When they hit you, you may be briefly dazed. You'll notice the swirly white circles if you walk backwards.
  4. They are able to leap VERY high (up to two whole stories).
  5. Even when zombified, midget zombies still squeak their high-pitched screams.
