- Menoetius, in Greek mythology, was one of the titans, which is appropriate considering Brick's size and strength.
- In Tales from the Borderlands Episode 2 "Atlas Mugged", when Rhys and Fiona are connecting the Gortys Core, a large room-sized universe map that shows Menoetius specifically zoomed in on alongside two other planets can be seen. The text with the planets read as "Menoetius - Surveyed:11.093.2345 - Data Analysis:11.093.2345"
