Major Kong

Major Kong is a legendary heavy weapon exclusive to the Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck DLC for Borderlands 3 and is manufactured by COV. It can only be obtained as a drop from Psychoreaver located in Vaulthalla located on Krieg's Mind.

+200% weapon damage.
Click the trigger to fire a large, slow-moving shotgun shell that travels in randomized trajectory, which will explode on impact or stick on surface for 2 seconds. Spawn smaller shotgun shells that home in all enemies nearby on explode. Consumes 2 ammo per shot. Can be charged for increased damage and ammo cost (up to 4 ammo). Greatly increased heat per shot (will break in 2-3 shots).

Usage & Description[]

The main rocket will fly straight for a short period of time before it starts to lose altitude at a fixed rate. Once it starts losing altitude the rocket will oscillate from side to side in a sinusoidal pattern. Hitting small targets is easiest at short distances. Once the rocket starts snaking and sinking, it makes hitting small and medium sized targets much harder.

If the rocket does not hit an enemy, it will stick to a surface for a few seconds before exploding.

Trivia[]

The name and flavor text are a reference to the 1964 film Dr. Strangelove where two hydrogen bombs are used to attack a Soviet missile site with one having the flavor text written on it and is ridden by a "Major T. J. "King" Kong" when it is dropped.
