Kite Shields are a common shield type in Borderlands 2 (exclusively for the A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure version) manufactured by Maliwan.
Usage & Description[]
Similar to spike shields, kite shields deal damage whenever the user is struck with a melee attack. However, instead of a single hit, the shield will release a whirlwind attack to hit all nearby enemies and knock them back. This makes them useful against enemy crowds so that the player won't get stuck.
Note that although produced by Maliwan, the spike damage can be non-elemental.
