Kaos is a legendary assault rifle in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Dahl. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Psychobillies located in Ambermire on Eden-6.
Special Weapon Effects
Grants the mystical art of exploding smallhands. – Always elemental. Enemies killed will create a large explosion of the weapon's element. Enemies caught in the blast radius of the explosion will be damaged and have the weapon's element applied as a status effect.
Usage and Description
While the Kaos is an outstanding assault rifle with its high accuracy and stability, it's true power is as a crowd control weapon. The explosions from the weapon can deal heavy damage to nearby enemies; any enemies that are not killed by the initial explosion are inflicted with the element, weakening or killing them soon after.
Since the explosions can harm the wielder, the Kaos is best used as a medium to long-range weapon against aggressive close quarters enemies like Skags or Psychos.
Notes
- Killing an enemy with the weapon's status effect will not trigger the explosion.
- Destroying a vehicle also activates the explosion effect.
- If the character is standing near the explosion, it will damage and apply the status effect on them as well.
