Kaneda's Laser is a legendary rocket launcher manufactured by Tediore added in Claptastic Voyage. It has a chance to drop from 5H4D0W-TP in System Shutdown.
Special Weapon Effects
If somebody's gonna kill him, it should be us! – Fires a fast-traveling laser similar to Dahl barrel lasers and can inflict a critical hit. Increased accuracy.
Usage & Description
Kaneda's Laser is the only launcher in the game that is able to score critical hits, which gives the weapon massive damage potential. It is therefore advisable to aim carefully, scoring critical hits to maximize each shot's damage.
Notes
- The weapon will always spawn with the Torgue sight.
- The splash damage will not hurt the wielder.
- Despite its name and behavior, it is not affected by skills and bonuses for lasers.
- Direct hit kills made with this weapon don't seem to count towards the Rocket Launcher Challenge "Missile Magnet" (PC).
Trivia
- Kaneda's Laser is a reference to the film Akira, where the main character, named Kaneda, wields a weapon similar in nature to Kaneda's Laser. The weapon's flavor text is a quote from Kaneda himself during the movie.
