Usage & Description[]
Kaneda's Laser is the only launcher in the game that is able to score critical hits, which gives the weapon massive damage potential. It is therefore advisable to aim carefully, scoring critical hits to maximize each shot's damage.
Notes[]
The weapon will always spawn with the Torgue sight.
It is only affected by bonuses to weapons in general, and rocket launchers, but not lasers.
On PC, direct hit kills made with this weapon don't seem to count towards the "Missile Magnet" challenge.
The weapon's splash damage will not hurt the wielder, but its reload-throw, like all Tediore weapons, will.
Trivia[]
Kaneda's Laser is a reference to the film Akira, where the main character, named Kaneda, wields a weapon similar in nature to Kaneda's Laser. The weapon's flavor text is a quote from Kaneda himself during the movie.
