Kala is a legendary absorb shield in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel manufactured by Vladof. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.

Charge the lightning shield! – Decreased recharge rate. Does not receive shock damage-over-time and shock damage recharges the shield.

Trivia[]

The shield and its flavor text refer to the Flash Gordon antagonist General Kala. The flavor text is a direct quote from General Kala, said as Flash piloted Ajax towards the wedding ceremony.
The Kala is an exact replica of The Transformer from Borderlands 2.
