Infected Skags are skag enemies introduced in Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary DLC for Borderlands 2.
Background
As Colonel Hector's vision of "paradise" spreads across Pandora, many native species were infected. Skags were no exception and their backs are covered with mutated plant growth.

Strategy

While they do leap, claw, and charge like other skags, they are far more likely to stay at a distance and spit gobs of slag followed by corrosive goo. At short range, they spray in arcing sweep over a wide area that deals a lot of damage in seconds. They try to stay away from close combat, retreating if enemies get too close. It is best to have an incendiary weapon or a strong weapon with explosive rounds.
Badass Infected Skags are a larger variant with higher health but follow the same attack patterns as their smaller cousins.
Notes
- Pizza Addicted Skag is named Badass Infected Skag which only appears near the Dahl Mine 191 entrance during The Oddest Couple mission.
- In True Vault Hunter and in Ultimate Vault Hunter modes they are renamed Necrotizing Skag and Badass Necrotizing Skag.
