Infected (Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel)

The Infected (sometimes known as Boils) are ex-Hyperion workers who have fallen victim to an affliction known as space hurps. The workers have since degenerated into a group of psychotic cannibals roaming the Veins of Helios in search of human flesh to consume. Aside from their atavistic tendencies, they are also notable for their remnants of Hyperion uniforms and the enormous boils infesting their skin.

Notes

• Killing one of the Infected contributes to the Dose of Death challenge in the Enemies challenge list.
• Boils share many traits with the Pandoran bandits known as rats.
