Holloway Robotics

Holloway Robotics is a robotics manufacturing corporation based on Eden-5. Robots manufactured by Holloway Robotics are based off of Mechanized Anti-Bully Deterrent (DT Project) Prototype D374-TP "Deathtrap" created by the Vault Hunter Gaige.

History

In the lead up to one of Eden-5's Youth Science Fairs, Marcie Holloway, the daughter of the President of Holloway Robotics, Mr. Holloway, discovered that her rival classmate Gaige was building an anti-bullying robot for the science fair and decided that the miniature thermosonic energy reactor that Holloway Robotics was building for her would not be adequate enough to win against Gaige's Mechanized Anti-Bully Deterrent (DT Project). In order to win the Eden-5's Youth Science Fair, Marcie had Holloway Robotics build a cheaper knock off version of Gaige's DT Project, the Crime Buster Bot, have the Crime Buster Bot advertised as "a technological breakthrough that will change the face of law enforcement forever" in the news, and had Mr. Holloway bribe the Science Fair's judges.

After the successful of the Crime Buster Bot's use by the law enforcement agencies of Eden-5, Holloway Robotics decided to expand upon the Crime Buster Bot design to fill the void created by the Hyperion Corporation's shutdown of all CL4P-TP General Purpose Robots "Claptraps". Holloway Robotics began developing variants of the Crime Buster Bot to fulfill various utility roles such as firefighting, providing medical aid, waste management, and delivering food. The revitalized Atlas Corporation purchased large amounts of Holloway Robotics' Billyclub Bots, Basher Bots, Deputy Bots, Constable Bots, Sheriff Bots, and Officer Bots to function as the police force of the Meridian Metroplex and Lectra City on Promethea. The Atlas Corporation also purchased for use in the Meridian Metroplex and Lectra City, Holloway Robotics' Fire Bots and Extinguisher Bots for firefighting, Medic Bots and Fixer Bots for medical services, Recycler Bots and Waste Bots for waste management, and Service Bots and Helper Bots for other utility functions and had Holloway Robotics' Bot Job Digistructors installed through out the areas.

The Jakobs Corporation purchased Holloway Robotic's Maxitrillion, EMS Bot, and various other Crime Buster Bot variants to serve upon the Jakob's family's capital battleship, Family Jewel. The Maliwan Corporation purchased large amounts of Holloway Robotics' Service Bots, painted them with a Maliwan design to serve as Maliwan Bot robotic infantry in the corporation's private army. Holloway Robotics' products were also purchased by several smaller businesses such as the Rise and Grind Coffeehouse in the Meridian Metroplex who purchased a Barista Bot to make and sell coffee and Dynasty Diner who used Burger Bots to deliver Ratch burgers in the Meridian Metroplex. The Hyperion Corporation also purchased Bouncer Bots, Upgraded Bouncer Bots, Casino Bots, Upgraded Casino Bots, Cleaner Bots, Upgraded Cleaner Bots, and Stanley for use on The Handsome Jackpot casino space station.

During the Maliwan Corporation's invasion of Promethea in an attempt by Maliwan's Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, Katagawa Jr., to acquire the Atlas Corporation for Maliwan, the Maliwan Corporation hacked all Atlas owned Holloway Robotics' robots in Meridian Metroplex and used them against the Crimson Lance. During the invasion the Badass Pyrotech Heavy, Archer Rowe, used his Maliwan forces to takeover Dynasty Diner and reprogram the Burger Bots to deliver him Ratch burgers and used Hacked Bots to guard and protect his supply line. After Lady Aurelia Hammerlock was able to convince the combat AI of the Family Jewel, GenIVIV, to turn against the Jakobs Corporation, the AI took control of all Holloway Robotics' robots on the vessel, except for EMS Bot, and attempted to take control of the battleship but was stopped by the vessel's navigation AI, BALEX, who crashed the ship into Eden-6's Voracious Canopy. The AI GenIVIV later managed to hack Sanctuary III's Holloway Robotics' robots in an attempt to hijack the Crimson Raiders' vessel.

Various of Holloway Robotics' products are hacked by the Maliwan Corporation and used against the Vault Hunters and the Crimson Lance.
