Hive is a legendary rocket launcher in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Torgue. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Princess Tarantella II located in The Splinterlands on Pandora.
Special Weapon Effects[]
Full of bees. – Fires a slow, large, spherical projectile which upon colliding with an enemy or terrain, begins to slowly float upward. During flight (regardless of an impact), it shoots small homing rockets that have a limited flight time and will detonate automatically if they have not impacted a surface. After the duration, the original projectile will explode. Consumes 4 ammo per shot. Reduced fire rate and reload speed.
Usage & Description[]
The Hive is intended for carpet bombing groups of enemies as the child rockets will target an enemy, regardless of where the main projectile lands.

Trivia[]
- The Hive is a returning weapon from Borderlands 2 but as a legendary Torgue rocket launcher instead of a unique Maliwan rocket launcher.
- The main projectile now takes on the appearance of a metallic beehive attached to a rocket thruster, compared to the unremarkable metal sphere in its previous incarnation.
