Hijack Targets are location-based challenges found throughout Borderlands 3. They are given and tracked by Ellie, and involves the Vault Hunter finding and hijacking rare vehicle for their parts and paint-jobs. Hijack Targets challenges are focused on exploration.

Hijack Target quests are considered Crew Challenges, hidden collectibles that can be found throughout each playable map, and are listed in "Zone Progress" in the map tab.

Background

Ellie will first notify the Vault Hunters of rare vehicle parts when they are close to a suitable vehicle, informing them about the parts attached and their potential utility, adding that they will be available at the Catch-A-Ride stations if they are scanned.

Hijack Target challenges either require solving puzzles to get the vehicle out or approaching locations usually tough to access. Every single target vehicle contains a unique part and an exclusive paint-job, both of which are unlocked when they are delivered to a Catch-A-Ride station.

Vault Hunters can check their progress in Sanctuary III's cargo bay, where vehicle parts will start filling in as more Hijack target quests are completed.

Rewards

  • Unique upgrades/paint-jobs for the hijacked vehicle's type.
