Heckle and Hyde is a respawnable mini-boss encountered in Borderlands 3. He can be found in a small walled-off area to the west from Leery Hamlet. They are also on Zer0's "Atlas' Most Wanted" list.
Background
Heckle is a goliath who, if damaged enough, turns into Hyde who is badass goliath.

- Given the opportunity, Hyde will evolve into Super Hyde, Mega Hyde, Ultimate Hyde, and Godly Hyde.
- Killing Heckle and Hyde counts towards BIG HURT challenge.
- Hyde has a chance to drop the legendary Pestilence pistol and the Alchemist assault rifle.
Trivia
- The game files include two Torgue pistols, the Incendiary "Heckle" and the Corrosive "Hyde" that are not obtainable except by modding. They may have been the original planned drops during development.
- Heckle and Hyde is a reference to the characters Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (in which a scientist (Dr. Jekyll) creates a potion which causes his dual personality (Mr. Hyde) to commit various acts of evil) and Heckle and Jeckle (animated cartoon magpies known for their wisecracking behaviour).
