The Havoc is one the highest quality titles of fully automatic Combat Rifles, or machine guns as they are more commonly known. They sport an incredible rate of fire coupled with the machine gun's ability to shrug off the worst effects of recoil when sighted, making them supremely useful for short, brutal firefights against either lots of weak enemies or just one really big Badass. Because of ammo consumption, Havocs are less useful for longer firefights unless combat takes place in a confined space, the weapon has a scope (which it rarely does), or ammo regeneration is present.

A Havoc will more often than not be more powerful than a Machine Gun, but will never be more powerful than a Mauler of equal level.
