Golden God is a legendary shotgun in Borderlands 4 manufactured by Ripper. It is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Idolator Sol located in Fortress Indomita in the Fadefields.

Trivia

• The weapon is named in reference to, and the flavor text is a quote from, the tenth season episode "The Gang Misses the Boat" of the TV series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Notes

• Prior to the October 23, 2025 patch, swapping away from Golden God while it was overheated would permanently set its ammo consumption to an increased rate even when the weapon is at normal operating temperatures.
