Geary is a special enemy located near the top of the Volcano in the Eridium Blight. He takes the form of an unarmed, miniaturized Psycho, has low health and drops 1 of 4 Vault Hunter Head Skins, these being:

• Medic Mantis - Commando
• Alienati0n - Assassin
• Metal Fear - Siren
• Marshall Mustache - Gunzerker

Easter Egg

Geary is most likely a reference to Gollum from The Lord of the Rings series. There is actually a well hidden secret linked to this character. When you start Playthrough 2, head over to the fire place in Claptrap's Place at Windshear Waste. Inside you will see an ECHO Recorder called Geary's Unbreakable Gear. It says "Only a brisk walk to the Eridium Blight will reward the courier." Now from here you must reach the top of the volcano in Eridium Blight without taking fast travel or dying (it is okay to enter Fight for your life as long as you are able to get second wind) Once you encounter Geary, let him slap you and if you follow all the steps correctly he will jump into the lava. Wait a couple of seconds, three Rakk will then fly in your direction and drop some Hyperion loot chests. One of these loot chests are guaranteed to have Purple items or better!

IMPORTANT: due to the fact that Geary will slap you, make certain you do not have a spike shield equipped, as it will kill him and prevent the three rakk from flying in

Trivia

• Metal Fear and Medic Mantis are both references to the "Metal Gear Solid" franchise, with Metal Fear replicating the features of Gray Fox whilst Medic Mantis is based on Psycho Mantis. Marshall Mustache is a reference to Mustache Marshall From the TV series "How I Met Your Mother", and the Alienation head is a reference to the "Aliens" franchise.
