Frontrunners are dog-like combat robots encountered in Borderlands 3.

Strategy
Frontrunners are found in most areas with Maliwan troops. Their task is to roam the batllefields, harrass the enemies and draw their attention away from the more valuable targets. They are not armed but are equipped with sharp teeth and claws. They are equipped with a device which allows them to move short distances extremely quickly. Once within melee range, they pounce on their targets viciouslu biting and clawing. This attack can inflict considerable damage and disorient the target. This attack is very short after which Frontrunners quickly move away for another attack.
Frontrunner are always equipped with shields therefore shock weapons should be used first to strip them down before corrosive weapons are used.
Notes
- In Mayhem Mode and True Vault Hunter Mode, they are renamed Wardog.
