Fran Miscowicz is mad. You'd be mad too if some Maliwan jackhole shot a laser through your small business. So yeah, Fran's got a bone to pick and some anger issues to sort out… but that doesn't mean she isn't without sweetness, charm, or a real lust for life. Fran contains multitudes—as does her trusty hoverchair, which is chock full of useful gadgets for both work and survival situations.

Fran is owner and manager of the frogurt shop partially destroyed by a Maliwan laser during the events of Borderlands 3. She, her only other employee, Octavio, and his recently-fired sister Anu are caught in the middle of an invasion of the planet by Tediore Chairwoman Susan Coldwell.

The team find themselves in possession of the vault treasure Tediore is looking for, a green crystal that can heal from a distance and even raise the dead. They attempt to start a company to sell it, only to be captured by Coldwell, who reveals that their crystal is half of a larger relic she has the other piece of. She intends to combine the crystals together to create a superweapon that can torture a person or entire planet into submission by killing and resurrecting them endlessly.

Coldwell's plan is thwarted by the player characters, with the ending determined by the choices made throughout the story. In the best ending, Fran, the other player characters, and their friends start a corporate consulting business, with Rhys, CEO of Atlas and Anu's most recent boss, as one of their clients.
