Someone drops a coin on a metal surface and you check to see if your absorb shield worked.

You're playing another game and you get frustrated because your Hellfire proc doesn't stack like it's supposed to.

You're watching Pirates of the Caribbean and you don't understand why the Black Pearl isn't hovering.  It's supposed to hover, right?

Someone at work says something about a Conference Call and you duck behind the nearest wall.  When questioned, you state that even a Vault Hunter is scared of that level of carnage.

You see a "tresspassers will be shot" sign and think "yeah, and shields probably won't help."
