Hi Everyone,

I've run into a problem a couple of times with the waypoint carat, both in-game and in the maps.  First time, I was in the Arid Badlands (I think) looking for a number of parts for a sniper rifle.  Found all but one of 'em with little trouble, but the 'scope was tough to locate, because the waypoint carat kept directing me to a specific location... and the scope was probably fifty feet (subjectively) away from the marker, way on the other side of a boulder.  The carat was really misleading, causing me to waste a lot of time before I found it.  KInda frustrating.

Second instance just happened, and I haven't figured it out yet.  I'm supposet to find this guy "Bruce McClane," and again I followed the waypoint carat to a specific location... map said I was right on top of it, and in-game, I was chasing the carat around in circles...walked up to it and suddenly it's behind me.  And not a living thing anywhere in sight.

Anyone else run into this?  Is there a fix for it?  Thanks!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kharrisma (talkcontribs)

It has been a long time since I've played these, but I vaguely recall the Bruce McClane one. The marker should be at a metal shack and the idea is to go inside. You're right about no living thing in sight - Bruce himself is just a corpse. -- WarBlade (talk) 19:31, February 4, 2019 (UTC)

For the Scavenger mission series: The waypoint never points to any of the piece but instead the general area where they can be found, it would be easier to look for the loot icon on the compass in order to locate them. Lord Inioch (talk) 21:09, February 4, 2019 (UTC)
