Last I checked, we did not come to a consensus regarding the weapon varieties?
For the first month of release, when anyone and everyone will uploading weapon pics and show them off on the weapon pages (or all over the place), I propose an in-the-middle solution:
A simple gallery. Nothing more, nothing less. At the top in a section called == varieties ==. No talk or text in this section. Just images. Period.
This is relatively simple to maintain and use, relatively clean. Won't have the regulars wasting too much time herding images. Relative newbies should not have trouble using it either. Is a good tradeoff. Win-Win.
I propose we do this the first month or so. Once things cool down, we can re-evaluate the situation and take it from there. How does that sound? happypal (talk • contribs) 16:58, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
I never reallyunderstood what the problem was with just having a few examples on the talk page with the tables accompanying them, and leaving things open for discussion. Who's day was it ruining just being left like that?

i suggested the gallery option. it was shouted down. consensus was subpage for variants. anything added to talk pages may be moved to subpage and subsequently added to a/the table. @ CJ while you were out there was a blog, see my blog page. Dr. F

im not above (or below for that matter) using a gallery as a staging area for mass uploads. even though it was declined by the community i still think its a good idea. especially as an interim fix. Dr. F 18:27, September 13, 2012 (UTC)
The link to the sub page is ready, although I think I'll be modifying the look of it. In the template infoboxes of the Borderlands 2 weapons thus far documented are links that say "variants link = Off". Resave the page with that switched to "On" and the link will appear. -- WarBlade (talk) 04:20, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
