Ok, I've read all the pages on how the guns are randomly generated. But the only thing I didn't see on the page was the purpose of the number after the body type, and it's driving me crazy. Does anyone know the purpose?

The marketing claim is that there are 87 Bazillion weapons in the game. That refers to the number of possible combination of parts it takes to build a weapon. Generally, for each weapon type, there are 5 body types, 5 stocks, 5 grips, 5 sights or none, 5 barrels, etc. Each part can affect the stats of a weapon in different ways. -- MeMadeIt 04:33, April 11, 2010 (UTC)

Well by what I've read on the weapon prefixes page, weapons only have one body type on them, ex the GGN sniper body type, that's a singular title for the gun, but if it were how you said, we'd be seeing alot more annotations on the name. Blackjack89760 04:54, April 11, 2010 (UTC)

Well, yes, you do see them. In your specific example, the prefix "GGN" is generated by having Sniper Body1. Change it to Body3 and the prefix will change to "VRR". Body4 changes the prefix to "DVL". But not every part adds to or changes a name. The Prefix and Title are 'parts' themselves and can also affect the weapons stats. The Prefix part "Solid" adds 6% damage to a Sniper. Change the Prefix to "Fearsome" and it will add 12% damage to a Sniper. This is also why you see mod'ed uber-weapons with names like "Shredder Shredder". -- MeMadeIt 14:14, April 11, 2010 (UTC)
