Forums: Index > Watercooler > New Legendary Weapon Ideas

One of the things that I love about Borderlands are the pop culture references embedded in the Legendary class weapons. Gearbox has included references from sources as varied as ancient Greek mythology (Atlas weapons) to Scarface and the Talking Heads (Chiquito Amigo repeaters and Dahl Penetrator snipers respectively). It got me wondering about what new kinds of "Pop Legendary" weapons the Borderlands community can come up with....

Post your ideas for "Pop Legendary" weapons here. Don't forget to include the origin of the reference, weapon specifications, and the effect, if any, that the flavor text will have. Be specific as I'm hoping the folks at Gearbox pay attention and might include our ideas in upcoming Borderlands material.

Don't forget, all: We're looking for Legendary weapon ideas with pop culture and historical references, not just cool weapon ideas.

Combat Rifles

DR-TH Vader

NNOOOOOO!

A Torgue assault rifle. The reference is to a line from Star Wars Episode 3 where at the end Darth Vader says one big no at the end. This no has become a sort-of popular meme. It is fully automatic, has at least 300 power, 100 accuracy, and an average mag. What it does is when it is being used, you and your allies get a big power boost while your down. If you respawn or get second wind, you lose the boost. Also if it has an element on it, there is a elemental high chance. Omegaironman 13:50, June 8, 2010 (UTC)Omegaironman

STRT-FGHTR Bison

Yes, YES!

A fully automatic combat rifle. Made by Vladof. the text references a popular meme said by M. Bison from the street fighter cartoon. Unlike most Vladof guns, this gun is red instead of orange, exsplosive x3, high fire rate and a big magazine ( like the revolution, but not as good as that). Also when you kill something, you get a temporary strength boost. A link to a video showing the scene here. Omegaironman 03:06, June 8, 2010 (UTC)Omegaironman

R0513 Rivet Gun

Would you kindly?

You must know that awesome game "BioShock". There's a Big Daddies - spliced golems, defenders of Little Sisters. There's a one kind of them called "Rosies". OMG! This one has got a proximity mines and the Rivet Gun - slowly pistol-like gun what firing a rivets. This one of course will be slow, but incredibly powerful! Magazine size should be about 12 (it's slow like a pistol, but powerful like a shotgun). Of course, a red text is from first BioShock. Guy called "Atlas" used this phrase to control player, but later, a german scientist, Brigid Tenetbaum, removed this reaction from player's (of course not your) brain.

Eventually, it can be incidentary x2, because in BioShock 2, you can upgrade it!

I don't know, how it works! DJKacPL 18:21, May 27, 2010 (GTM +1)

Perhaps you could call it The Meganium Violator?

T800 Minimi

Hasta la vista, baby!

This is an obvious reference to the Terminator series, specifically Terminator 2: Judgement Day where the terminator has a minigun and is blowing up the various SWAT and police cars surrounding the building they're in. This weapon will have moderate damage (100-150) with fairly good accuracy (80-90) and an insane fire rate (at least 15, maybe a little higher). The flavor text will cause it to have x1 or x2 explosive multiplier and will always activate the element (think Maliwan Hellfire) and when the target enemy dies, they explode into millions of pieces. This would go for enemy vehicles as well. Seemed interesting so how 'bout it?

MPQFHG Forbidden word

We are the knight's who say... NI!

Now this is an obvious reference. But for those who don't know, it's Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail where the knights who say Ni (and yes it's ni, look it up) ask for king arthur to get them a shrubbery. But they then discover their forbidden word and keep them from stopping the quest. I think that it would do twice as much damage to armored enemies or enemies higher level than you.

What if the bad guys say "IT?" :D Fryguy42 21:39, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

LF4DD2 Bill's Memory

This shit's gettin' more like nam...

Reference to Left 4 Deads Bill charater who died lately. A level 61 Torgue Machinegun that has well-above accuracy (90-93) with average damage (230-250) and a slight-above average firing rate( 8-10). Reload rate is extremely fast (to deal with the horde) and would have a melee attack similar to that of the push back in the game. The gun would be mostly all black or gray to match the type of assult rifle they use in the L4D games. It would have no scope but would have a constant spread as you fire it your aim won't worsen. I thought this would be a great gun that he would use all the time, R.I.P Bill.

Amen to that, though I think a 10-12 rof might be closer to that in L4D. We miss you Bill *sniffle* Skeve613 18:23, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Z1-5

Good for righties and lefties

A combat rifle with low damage, but high rate of fire, high recoil reduction and very large magazine (200+). It always has a 1.8x scope (the one with green digital-looking crosshairs). When NOT using the scope, the rifle is fully automatic and the bullets it shoots leave a visible trail and have a minor ability to seek toward enemies. When using the scope it shoots in extremely fast, recoilless, 5 shot bursts which do not seek targets. This is a reference to the ZF-1 from "The Fifth Element". The ZF-1 had a large number of features, two of which were its "Replay" feature which could automatically guide bullets to a target, and its programmable burst rate.

BR14N BUTT3RF13LD

Saturday is treat day!

(If you don't know who he is and/or where the quote came from, search Brian butterfield diet plan on Youtube [[1]]) So this will be a unique brand of combat rifle, possibly by Gearbox or S&S Munitions. It will have a RoF of about 13 or higher, do a hefty amount of damage (about 200-250) and have about 85 Acc. It will have an effect that causes every sixth bullet fired to have a random elemental effect of either x1 or x2 (any element). Note: this means if you stop firing, the NEXT sixth bullet will have an elemental effect so it won't carry over from when you stopped firing. The reason it's every sixth bullet is because saturday is the sixth day of the week. Also, the element is supposed to be the "treat". This is a referece to Brian Butterfield's Diet Plan by comedian Peter Serafinowicz (who does hilarious comedy sketches), when he says "at the weekend, it's time for a treat. Saturday is treat day!"

P.S. If you haven't seen Brian butterfield, you don't know what comedy is! He is LOLtastic!!

P.P.S. Sorry Gamepro224 for kinda copying your idea, but I didn't know what else to do.

P.A.O. Avenger

Cheap as hell, but if freaking works!

Atlas Machine gun. Has mostly basic stats for an Atlas MG. What unique is a special accessory which takes up both the accessory slot and the scope slot. Its special ability is that, while in the normal game, you will have markers on the compass showing you friends and foes, you still have to look for them, and even than, you might not see them. What it does is makes all friendly/enemies visible on the screen, green for good, red for soon to be dead. As soon as an enemy can be picked up by your compass detecter, they can be made visible. This makes the weapon extremly useful in some areas. Like I said earlier, it has mostly basic stats, To counter the great effectivness at finding enemies, it will have decreased damage and slightly below average acc.

The name and the effect are based off of the Avenger assault rifle from Perfect Dark, which has a secondary mode that will highlight dangers while the gun is active. PAO stands for Pansy Asses Only, and is in reference to the Heartbeat sensors from MW2 (which if what I here from most forums talking about MW2 is true, is for noobs), as well as the joke in Battlefield: BC2 which Sweetwater makes fun of MW2's Spec-ops mode and the heartbeat sensor. Lone-Wanderer 19:49, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Morph Gun

May the Precursors grant you strength

This gun has regular strength, has 80 ammo, a 4-shot burst, and also will cycle through elemental damage types, where every burst it cycles. The cycle goes Explosive, Shock, Fire, and Acid. The gun is a reference to the Jak and Daxter series, where the main character (Jak) gains a gun that has various forms, from a basic rifle, to a shotgun-like burst, to a machine gun, and finally, a emp/nuke. The color of the guns is also how it cycles. It starts with the Blaster (yellow), Vulcan Fury (blue), Scatter Gun (red), and Peace Maker (purple). Gamepro224 ~ Your resident no-life gamer 23:33, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Not a good gun to use in zombie island, because most zombies don't take much, if any, damage from acid, and you know the Tankenstien heal from electricity, meaning you'd have to unload an entire clip on nothing to get to it's weakness. Omegaironman 13:55, June 8, 2010 (UTC)Omegaironman

R.E. Surprise

Hmm? Somethings different...

R.E. stands for Random Encounter. The gun's name is a tribute, in a way, to games like Fallout, Diablo, and the original idea of Borderlands, in that the environment would be randomly generated in some cases; as well as the occasional special random encounter seen in Fallout (some of which were F&#%ing funny.) Alot of the gun will be random, with the only constant features being:

  • Its always going to be a combat rifle
  • It will always either have some elemental accessory, or a scope. (One or the other, never both, never neither).

It will be a drop from a large brute like enemy, who much like the weapons namesake, will appear at random. There is no quest for him, but he wont spawn unless a certain requirment has been reached (what that is IDK, if idea is used, GBX can handle the details themselves). When ever the weapon drops off of him, it will be randomly appear like a basic gray CR, but once you pick it up, it will become a randomly made CR. It is essentually a random drop weapon like the several hundred each of us have probably found, but will always have boosted stats that compare to Atlas. It can be generated with any combination of manufacturer colors, and will always be a legendary gun (eeither orange or pearl, I would make it pearl). One last important note, it can come at any level, but you will most likely not trigger the unique enemy until you're at least level 15.

I thought, this could be both fun and frustrating, making it double-ly good :) Lone-Wanderer 01:35, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Thats a fantastic idea! I love the thought of how it could be anything as soon as you pick it up. ~ One random guy 01:51, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

What i want to know is if you pick it up, drop it, and pick it up again does it change again. Yamistriton

GUR-R3N Lagann

Who the hell do you think I am?

Reference to the anime Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, where it is spoken quite often by the main characters. It is a Hyperion fully automatic combat rifle, shoot green glowing bullets in a sprial shape (which is also a reference, the main mech uses drills as weapons) and do normal damage to shielded and armored enemies. Stat wise, the gun is really above average.

Cog Lance

Nothing but chunks

Reference to Gears of War (2). The Lance has a 50-round clip, a sight (not a scope), and a chainsaw melee attachment. If the melee attack is used on a weakened enemy (badass and boss included, but must be human-sized, or an enemy 10 levels lower than the player), the chainsaw will shred the target to a pile of chunks. "Nothing but chunks" is heard sometimes when a player kills something with their chainsaw. I don't know how to make the text red, and not sure what manufacturer should make it. Maybe Maliwan should be the manufacturer and it should have a 4x explosive element (to keep up the theme of chunks :P) Midiland95 23:32, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

I believe Torgue would be a more fitting Manufacturer for this. SpootKnight 05:16, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Ghost

Who you gonna call?

Atlas-Combat Rifle-Ghost with low Damage (around 200) and high Rate of Fire (around 12.5), but low Accuracy (around 70.0). No Element and Magazine Capacity over 100. And also the gun is not heavy, it never kicks! Red text effect from Ghostbusters and (Ok, only this time) bullets would be much like Typhoon´s.Sinister5310 05:32, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

And a ghost trap grenade mod!! A device to implode enemies to nothingness. Wicked. King of the Lillim 16:30, May 28, 2010 (UTC)

Uprising

We will be victorious! SO COME ON!

Vladof - Machine gun - When downed, this gun recieves a 300% damage, RoF and accuracy boost. Referencing the song uprising by muse, with the lyrics as follows: They will not forrrrrrce us, and they will stop degraaaaading us and they will not controooooool us and we will be victorious! SO COME ON! A Lonely Nomad 20:54, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

FFFFFFFF!! You win 1 internet because i would search day n' night for an Uprising. Thats such an awesome idea. ~ One random guy 21:18, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

It would be hilarious, just running along going" I shall not be degraded! I shall be victorious! A Lonely Nomad 19:32, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

The High Lander

I'm the Juggernaut, Bitch!

This machine gun, when equipped, increases your max health and shield recharge for however long you hold it. It also has low damage, high mag size, low reload time, fast fire rate, and it causes you to walk slower ( a tribute to the juggernauts in MW2) PS. (sry Normad, i just saw your idea after writing mine. i just think that, with omega shield, which is from greek mythology, the gods were already juggernauts so...yeah) No probs, I can change my flavor text to "DONT YOU KNOW WHO I AM!" And by the way, the juggernauts in mw2 were referencing X-men. See my idea for an explanation. A Lonely Nomad 17:29, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Vera

She has a name || It has extreme sentimental value || It is my very favorite gun

Jayne from Firefly. Combat rifle with high damage, small clip, fully automatic with slow refire. No elements or special effects, but has some combination of extra damage, accuracy, and/or crit damage. Anon 21:35, April 30, 2010

Personally, I think it should be "It is my very favorite gun". Also, it should have extremely high damage considering the clip size and refire rate. I mean, in the show it punctured a station's hull (or was that window?). In any case, that takes some degree of pretty high penetration, and probably recoil.

The special ability should be to hit multiple enemies in a row! With high damage it could be deadly. Humanperson 7:12 PM, 5/28/2010

Best idea for gun name yet. Ookamikazuchi 21:01, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

The Gatherer

In the gardens we are growing; many changes will be showing...

First, don't know how to change the color. Anyway, it would be a, now go with me on this, an Anshin "Lost Weapon". It would be one of a kind assault rifle with it's own quest (or series of quests) surrounding the mystery of why it never made it to production and why they just stuck to grenade mods afterwards. Stats would be: Anshin - Assult Rifle - Medium Clip - about 66 - moderate fire rate - around 300 damage (or whatever) It would suck the life out of the enemy and transfer it to you and if an ally is on screen, rightly proportion it. Of course if you splice up, bad stuff happens to you. So you are slowed signifigantly (ouch butchered) and your accuracy is lessened. If you want to throw out your own mods to this weapon, go right ahead. Oh yeah and the reference is Bioshock. -Link245 F

This is in itself a reference to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- the book by Roald Dahl, and subsequent movies starring Gene Wilder and 25 years later, Johnny Depp...Jack Monkey Squat 17:15, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Doktor

I am ze Übermensch!

This is a Hyperion-made machine gun with a very high RoF, always above 15. It also has a greatly extended magazine (perhaps 200 rounds). It would have high accuracy and no recoil (targeting reticule never grows) and perhaps always unscoped. The downside is that the Doktor deals only 1 (or perhaps less) damage to enemies. It's intended for a Soldier with Cauterize (although perhaps the effect could work for all classes?), as the gun has incredible "damage" when fired at an ally (excluding in duels, naturally) and regenerates their shields slightly when fired at them. It's a reference to Team Fortress 2's Medic class, who uses a Medigun to heal teammates and will sometimes say "I am ze Übermensch!" And no, the gun can't ubercharge teammates, for those of you familiar with TF2 out there. -- ClaptrapTorgueSig Claptrap icon Jakobscoveclaptrapz 16:01, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

The Ubermensch reference actually originally comes from Friederich Nietzsche's book Thus Spoke Zarathustra, it deals with the idea of the overcoming power of humanity, giving Nietzsche the idea of an Ubermensch or "superman". Still a cool idea for the gun thought. It sounds alot like the medic class from Resistance 2's coop gameplay. -Archangel737 12:07, May 10, 2010.

HWG Sasha

It costs four hundred thousand dollars to fire this weapon... for twelve seconds'...

Vladof Machine gun. Based off of the Heavy Weapon guy's minigun. The text ability allows it several things:

  • No matter how fast you release the trigger, the gun will fire out 20 rounds a second.
  • It acts like a actual minigun in that it needs to get up to speed, so holding the fire button will cause the gun to continue firing, which results in it rof increasing.
  • It has no recoil, Which allows it to be accurate.
  • increases double for Roland
  • Its heavy, but speeding your walking/running speed by 50%
  • It will have a scope, can come with elemental power. uses a unique barrel that has a handle attached (cosmetic only, handle isnt used) and will come in a gunmetal black color instead of normal Vladof orange, with a silver colored mag.

Note: Unlike in TF2, where you can rev the minigun so its ready to fire almost all the time.

Lone-Wanderer 18:27, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

How is this balanced at all? 71.145.164.30 23:10, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

It isn't, removeing the speed boost, damage boost, scope, then makeing the accuracy not so good ( 60?) would make it more balanced. ~ Tzeentch

Triumph

Memento mori

In ancient Rome a Roman general returning from a successful campaign would perform a "triumph," parading through the streets of the city followed by his men and any plunder he took back with him, treasure, furniture, art, slaves. It is believed that on these occasions the victorious general's slave was tasked with following behind him and reminding the general that, though his highness was at his peak today, tomorrow he could fall or be more likely brought down. The servant conveyed this by telling the general that he should remember, Memento mori. The Latin translates to "Remember you must die."

This Hyperion-made combat rifle will appear at first to be a massively poweerful weapon. It will inflict +500 damage at Level 48 (minimum level drop), have a good sight, high recoil reduction, 90.3 accuracy, +13% reload speed, 12.5 RoF, and a 200-round clip. The hidden effect endowed by the flavor text will help to balance the power of this weapon:

For every bullet fired the weapon will drain 0.1% of the wielder's total capacity HP, bypassing the shield. For example, a vault hunter with 1000 HP will lose 200 HP points if he/she expends the entire 200-round clip. A hunter that expends enough ammo to drain his/her remaining HP will experience a bleed-out and will need to quickly equip a different weapon to try for a Second Wind as the Triumph will no longer fire. The user may be negatively affected by HP increases and ammo capacity increases from skills and class mods. The HP drain may be offset by shields that confer HP regen.

The Triumph will only spawn from Badass and Boss Crimson Lance soldiers as Atlas has distributed these massively powerful combat rifles only to their top-ranking officers to remind them (and us) that no matter how powerful they are today they may still be brought down.

(Spawns at Orange-rarity and above only)

Fryguy42 17:54, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

translates to "remember to die" as it doesn't address anyone in perticular

CLG-LA Imperial Tyrant

Oderint dum metuant

The Roman Emperor Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, better know by his nickname, Caligula, is best known today for his cruelty, extravagance, and sexual perversity and is often presented as an insane tyrant. The Latin phrase "Oderint dum metuant" translates to "Let them hate so long as they fear" and is attributed to Caligula as a favorite saying.

This Hyperion Atlas-made combat rifle is a step down in rank from the Triumph combat rifle. It too will appear at first to be a massively powerful weapon, dealing +450 damage with an extremely fast 12.5 RoF. But the Tyrant will feature negative recoil reduction, very low accuracy (15.0 - 23.0) and will burst-fire it's entire 60-round clip with one trigger pull.

The Tyrant will only spawn from Badass and Superbad Crimson Lance soldiers. The high damage and burst-fire capability represent the power that Caligula wielded as Emperor and the negative recoil reduction and low accuracy represent his worsening insanity and the effect it had upon himself and his nation.

(Spawns at Orange-rarity and above only)

Fryguy42 22:21, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe I'm being nitpicky or whatnot, but wouldn't negative recoil reduction and low accuracy be more in keeping with Atlas than Hyperion? Hyperion generally makes super accurate guns Skeve613 14:22, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

You're right. I got lazy and decided that since it's a Crimson Lance weapon then Hyperion made it. Thanks for keeping me on my toes. Changed accordingly. (The first comment made on one of my weapons and it's a correction. :( sigh ) Fryguy42 18:07, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

KA Star Rodby

It prevents nightmares. Period.

Obvious Kirby reference here. This would be a Hyperion combat rifle with a good scope, 90-95 acurracy, 12-17 fire rate, and 300-350 damage. Also, it has x2 shock. Its special effect is that the bullets do double damage in the dark, in cave like areas, or at night, and they light up! Like most legendary weapons it can be found by killing enemies or looting chests. It would have a special elemental effect that it glows pink. These only show up at Orange or higer rarity, and at level 48 and up.

Scooter's Monster MG

Lots of bullets are better than...no bullets

Slow rate of fire machine gun with homing bullets with slow ammo regen and a huge clip. Fires much like the Monster's Rocket Launcher and is part of DLC3. Average damage, none elemental, zoom similar to the Monster Rocket Launcher however low accuracy like the runner machine gun. (a pun as if to say this would have been on the monster if the monster was like the runner in the original and could swing both ways) BigSkagHunter 22:58, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Maverick

I feel the need...The need for speed

(The name and tagline come from the main character in Top Gun. Maverick and Goose bring it up after landing from a training exercise. Since Borderlands is full of 80's quotes, I thought this one should be there.)

Fully automatic Torgue machine gun with very high fire rate, medium size clip and 200% recoil reduction. Fires much like the Havoc but more accurate. 250-350 damage, none elemental, no zoom, 91.3 accuracy, and 18.5 fire rateGordoG60 13:08, May 13, 2010 (UTC)GordoG60

MGS4 Patriot

GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS

(The AR from Mgs4 and 4 that features unlimited ammo and the quote is from Ocelot in MGS4)

A fully automatic Atlas machine gun that regenerates ammo and has a huge clip size. 200-250 damage, no scope, 85 accuracy, high rate of fire and low recoil.

I think a better one would be "Guns by the Patriots, For the Patriots"... But It's your gun..

5P4-RT4N Leonidas

THIS IS PANDORA!!

This one should be pretty obvious. It is a Maliwan Combat Rifle that deals 90 base damage as well as x5 Explosive damage and has a chance of recovering your shield if the rounds connect. The melee attack would be a straight kick to the gut.

SG-729 Black Sun

Nights of fire.

S&S Munitions machinegun. Has x4 fire damage and the fire is black. Enemies killed by this gun explode into black flames. High damage for a machinegun(600-750). High magazine size at 120, and a 10.5 fire rate. The gun is black and gold and it also regenerates ammo. P.S. To the douche who removed this the first time I posted it, you better have a damn good reason. Reference to the song "Nights of Fire".

  • (please sign your posts original poster!) Sounds awesome and has real potential, but maybe a little overpowered considering it combines so many strong special effects into one gun. Skeve613 15:28, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Smile

La~ater! Peace!

A reference to Con Smith from the game Killer 7.

Since Con has 2 pistols, this Repeator pistol will have to do the work of 2, becoming much like a Dahl Hornet. However, the gun will always have 20 rounds (as his guns seem to have 10 rounds each), and will have great accuracy (90 or above) and roughly 7.0 RoF, same as the Hornet. Only differences are that it has lower damage (16x-ish for LV 61), never comes w/ a scope and can either have Shock x3-4 or no element at all. You see that red button? Never press the red button.

This is a refernce to many movies one of which the first Men in black where in the car he says never press the button, anyway what the gun would do is regular damage comes in any type masher, viper, justice anything medium damage about 1000 at high lvls. Accuracy will be around 70-90 magazine will be 10 can have any element or come with a scope rarely both, but the special thing about this gun is that it has a big red button on the handle which will have the option to press anytime but at a cost of hafe your sheild and health what the button does is the next bullet you fire no matter where will seek enemies and once it hits explodes like a nuke mushroom cloud covering about 50ft. The effect can only be used every 15min and if you use it too much the gun will have a overheat because the bullet IS made of your charecter so it will also have some special effects like if your useing Lilith it will have extra elemental damage with a decrease in DoT, Roland it will have the enemy spurt out ammo once it hits but at a loss of fire rate, Brick the bullet will have 2x damage but less accuracy, and Mordecai its accuracy will be 100% perfect at a cost of recoil increase and fire rate reduction. It can be any company that make guns but every company will have different effects and everything for the gun.

A Jakobs revolver. Has 1 dmg, 93.6 acc, 7 round clip, 5 reload rate, no elemental effects. The text makes the bullet, upon impact, send someone down to 1 hp and no shield. This does not work on bosses. However, this can not kill anyone. Weapon + flavor text comes from Final Fantasy VII. The name is 1337-speak for Sephiroth. This is Delicious!!

An Anshin or Atlas revolver. It is a reference to the street fighter cartoon. Vido link here. A revolver that that always has a scope and a bayonett. it has 400 power, 82.1 accuraccy, 1.2 fire rate, and a 7 bullet mag. It heals in a way similar to the Kryos' Power. You'll eat thunder and crap lightning!

A Torgue repeater. It will have a x3-x4 shock element on it. 310-350 power, 99.9 acuraccy, and 1.3 fire rate. It's flavor text gives it a big magazine, like around 80, and the bullets go through enemies. The gun references the first(?) Rocky movie, where his trainer say the flavor text. Also, it possibly could be made by S&S Munitions due to the big magizine. P.S., If someone would please make the flavor text red for me, sometimes it doesn't turn red on my computer and I can't figure out how to make it red. Mind Reader

The stars are blazin' like rebel diamonds cut out of the sun...

This is a line out of The Killers' song Read My Mind. It would be a 2 round clip Atlas revolver with 2000% critical hit damage, lvl 61 with 750 base damage and a possibe x4 element. It would be adorned in dress patterns of a phsycic. A 4.7 scope, 96.5 acc., 1.6 rof, and if a head shot, you can see all enemys on the Echo's map. It is also vampiric. Pearlescent quality.

That's slightly over powered...maybe no element and no scope? cuz getting a crit on a level 61 adding proficincies, wou could easily do 100,000,000 damage to anyone...

even that is rediculous

A massive crticial hit bonus but with quite low damage could encourage one to use headshots as the only way to do good damage, no? Skeve613 15:32, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

T3KK3N Bison

You have made me a very happy man, and next I'll make you a dead one.

This is a quote from street fighter, the movie, which kinda sucked in my opinion, anyways it does 1 damage and 100000000000% critical hit, basically it kills anything in one shot. The downside is it has a one shot clip and it takes 7.32 seconds to reload. It has 99 accuracy and and a 4.5 scope.

55 Mauser

You have not dissapointed me

The quote was made by Adolf Hitler on the day of June 5th, 1940, "Dunkirk has fallen... with it has ended the greatest battle of world history. Soldiers! My confidence in you knew no bounds. You have not disappointed me."

The name is minor 1337 speak as SS Mauser. SS were the eliet Nazi soldiers that originally served as Hitler's bodyguards, but then expanded during WW2 and made it's own special army; the Waffen SS. They were (literally) the best of the best Germany had to offer. Also, the Mauser (or Mauser c96) was the primary sidearm for the SS and Waffen SS.

The gun itself is very odd; It will have a Tediore Protector body much like this, but with a little magazine box like the real life Mauser (as seen here )

In terms of stats, this weapon can have a capacity of 6, 10, 20 or 40 ONLY (much like the real-life gun). Also, the magazine will be in the little ammo box as shown in the picture above. The lower the capacity, the higher the power. Also, this is the only pistol that can either be a Repeater or Machine pistol, as the real-life Mauser can go either Semi-auto or fully-auto. If you get a repeater version, you will have greater power, accuracy and recoil reduction, but if you get the machine pistol version you will (not suprisingly) get a much higher fire rate (about 1000 PRM, or 16.6 Fire rate, the same as the real life gun) and more knock-back power. The damage of this gun also varies by the type of capacity you get; less capacity = more power and vic-versa. In terms of other attributes, it can be any element, any recoil reduction, etc.

101 corner of my eye

There ain't nothin' in this world for free

Lyric from ain't no rest for the wicked by Cage the Elephant (in borderlands opening credits). a revolver with thre round cylinder that fires in burst. lvl 37-61, can range in damage from 311-1285. Always has a scope of 2.8 or more and a 4 fire rate in burst. accuracy of 95-98. special effect besides the scope is the bullets have slight tracking ability and cause the enemise to drop a ton of money if you kill them with it. comes in pearlescant.

808-DYLN Subterranean Blue Nailer

Don't wanna be a bum, better chew gum

A Bob Dylan song reference from Subterranean homesick blues. Me and a friend were listening to this song and it just came to me lol. I was thinking a low damage pistol like 100 or so, with very high fire rate, maybe 8-12, and 98.something accuracy with a 30 round clip. The added effect is that the bullets fired are blue pellets that stick to enemies and after you stick an enemy with at least 10 rounds (I think it should be more, but i dont know, what do you guys think?) they all explode causing high damage. Think of the needler gun in halo. It can also appear with elemental damage, any with x3 or x4. -Mellodious

SW44 Eastwood

Blow your head clean off

This is a quote from Clint Eastwood when he points his .44 at a robber and goes ".44 magnum. Most powerful handgun in the world. Blow your head clean off."

It would be a 6 shot revolver maybe from Atlas that has and EXTREMELY low damage (max 10) but has a %1000 critical hit damage. It would have a decent rate of fire for a revolver, maybe 1.2ish. Accuracy would be decent, maybe 85 or so. Scoped.

The point is that it does barely any damage, but if you crit someone, it'll "blow their head clean off"

The SW44 comes from Smith and Wesson, and 44 from the 44 magnum. The Eastwood part i pretty straight forward

Sounds cool, but if you're referencing a .44 Magnum, it wouldn't be right to make it weak. I like the concept though165.2.186.10 13:39, May 14, 2010 (UTC)GordoG60

You all probably know what this is from, but if you don't check out the making of borderlands, episode 1, [[3]]. I always got a kick out of that line and thought a revolver called the Solution with high accuracy, maybe 98.7, a damage of 380ish, a fire rate of 1.8 or 2.0, and x4 explosive damage. And the kick you ask? a very large explosive radius compared to most explosive weapons. And every time you shoot the gun, instead of a gun shot, it goes HEY-YO! like Steve from the video lol. Probably not too creative... but yeah. -Mellodious (PSN)

MR-10 Plumber

It's-a me!

A Mario reference. It is a Maliwan revolver. It's bullets glow red, and slightly spin up and down (like mario's fireballs) and they bounce off surfaces. It has a high elemental chance. It has x4 incinderary, power: 300-320 , 89-95 acuraccy, and 2.0 fire rate.

We have too many fire maliwans. And 20 fire rate? 2.0? GnarlyToaster 21:23, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Two things, One: my bad, didn't pay attention. Two: It could have LU-1G1 variant that is the exactly the same but has a lightning element on it, because there are a few mario games where Luigi used lightning (ex: Superstar Saga) Three: there has to be a reason for the slogan "Grab a Maliwan and light some people on fire!" DV88 Magnum Revolver

It shoots through schools

This is an homage to Joe Piscapo's character Danny Vermin from the 1984 movie Johnny Dangerously, a comic spoof of 1930's era crime/gangster movies. In it Danny Vermin pulls an absurdly long-barreled revolver out of his jacket. Vermin's sidekick, Dutch, states that "They made it for him special. It's an .88 Magnum" to which Vermin adds "It shoots through schools." This was a clear spoof of the most powerful revolver in the world (at the time), the .44 Magnum, popularized by the Dirty Harry movies playing at that time. Later Vermin states that his .88 Magnum "...goes through armor. And through the victim, through the wall, through a tree outside..."

The DV88 Magnum Revolver should be a 6-round revolver with no scope and, of course, a REALLY long barrel. Probably a Jakobs in keeping with the old-time theme of the movie. It should have no recoil reduction since a real-life .88 Magnum would kick like a mule. This shouldn't be a problem as it should do enough damage to kill low- to mid-level enemies in one shot. The flavor text should endow the revolver with the ability to shoot bullets that go through the target and damage anything behind it. This through-and-through effect may be triggered by a critical hit, a killing shot, or just by pulling the trigger. It may have the Hunter Trespass ability to ignore shields since it can "go through armor."

Ocelot

Six bullets...more than enough to kill anything that moves

The Ocelot is an Atlas-made revolver that resembles an old-fashioned Colt Single Action Army. It always comes with a six round magazine, as well as increased damage and accuracy. The downsides are that it has a longer reload time than other revolvers (perhaps a new reload animation where you load each round individually, and it takes around six seconds), can never be scoped, and can never come with an elemental or masher accessory. However, this gun's really special attribute is that the bullets ricochet, but not in the slow, spiral pattern of other guns. These bullets move at full velocity the whole time (maybe even homing in on an enemy when it ricochets). The gun and its text is a reference to Revolver Ocelot of the Metal Gear Solid series, who was incredibly skilled with Revolvers, and was called a "ricochet genius". -- ClaptrapTorgueSig Claptrap icon Jakobscoveclaptrapz 01:40, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

FVIII Leonhart & Almasy

An important note for the person putting the weapons into the categories, This is actually two different guns, One a revolver, the other a repeater pistol. So you might want to move the Almasy (repeater) to the Pistol category. Lone-Wanderer 18:36, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Pull the trigger for extra damage

This is actually two different guns. The first, Leonhart is a revolver, Almasy is a Repeating pistol. Both will always come with a special melee accessory, and will never come with a scope. Both have the hidden elemental effect of explosive, but the effect only happens when you strike an enemy with melee. If you time it perfectly, you can pull the trigger of the gun at the same time you strike the enemy, dealing a massive critical.

Both weapons are based off of weapons and characters from Final Fantasy 8, Squall Leonhart and his rival Seifer Almasy. The flavor text is in refernece to the fact that in FF8, when using squall, you can actually fire the gunblade (which yes, it is a sword with a gun built into it) and deal extra damage. I dont see any FF references in here, so I was slightly surprised. Lone-Wanderer 03:31, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Golden Gun

I only need one, Mr. Bond

A repeater, with very small mag size, like 5 or less, basically it should kill everything in 1 shot, regardless of damage. So the damage on this thing could be something like 1, and any normal mob would die in 1 hit ( So no bosses or badasses), if that seems op or not even that usefull, maybe it would have the ability of crits being 1 shot kills atleast, and have 100% accuracy at all times. It should be the ultimate marksmens pistol, and obviously referencing Scaramanga, famous assasin from James Bond, don't really have a good quote idea yet, ill add one later, I just really like the idea of this gun and the idea of a fast killing pistol with small magazine size, so even if your killing fast, you gotta reload alot, basically the 100% accuracy would be so when you shoot, your shots are precise, and the 1 shot kill for criticals is the better idea, cause then you gotta worry bout making those single shots before reloading, and with a small clip size, something less then 5, you will be scrambling to put in those clutch headshots, Thats basically how i play the game already, love using pistols, its kinda sda and funny at the same time though wen you got empty several clips to the face of some lance. TreeJs 20:09, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

for the flavor text how about "shaken, not stirred" ??IbanezRokr 23:11, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, so to sum up, Would have a 1 shot clip instead to follow the traditional golden gun and a decent reload speed. TreeJs 19:20, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Brilliant! But yeah - it would pretty much have to have a one shot clip - how could it not? And you'd probably want it fixed so it never spawns with a scope, and has 100% accuracy. Personally, I'd probably call it the "Scaramanga" though. WhackyGordon 22:00, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Progress

Boink!

The Progress is a Hyperion-made pistol, with one round in a clip. Its damage is always 1 as well, and it has 100% accuracy and a decent or splendid scope. The reload is very slow, with the base being about ten seconds. So why use it? Well, the Progress isn't designed for combat. It's ability is that, when the bullet hits something, it automatically teleports you to about a foot behind the impact point. This includes enemies, but won't function if fired accidentally far outside of the map (where you would certainly die). Therefore, it could be used for a couple things:

  1. Getting in close to enemies instantly, in position to melee them, use a low-accuracy/high-power weapon, or whatever
  1. A mini Fast Travel, allowing you to get around much easier.

It's not a perfect concept - people could easily get to game-breaking places, so there'd have to be invisible walls that only affected these bullets or it would have to possess limited range (although the wall idea is better - some glitch spots aren't too high off the ground). Oh, and for those of you who are wondering, the gun references the comic Calvin and Hobbes, one comic of which features Hobbes asking "Scientific progress goes 'Boink'?" Incidentally, this is also a title of one of the comic collections. -- ClaptrapTorgueSig Claptrap icon Jakobscoveclaptrapz 01:40, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Please see the paragraph at the beginning of this forum (and every other weapon NOT in the Etcetera section.) If the "Noisy Cricket" is indeed a reference to Men In Black then all I ask is that you include that in the text. I just manage the site. I can't / won't change editors' posts for them. "Putting it where it belongs" simply means that I put posts that lack info (e.g. weapon type, flavor text, reference. See Notes) into the Etcetera section. Fryguy42 17:19, May 6, 2010 (UTC)

Another Revolver inbound

Kennedy

Prepare for your death, Leon

This Jakobs revolver comes with a an incredible amount of power - think about 2000 - 2500 and after a short distance the bullets breaks up into 4 full strength projectiles that have a 100% chance to daze and partially immobilise the enemy. Always comes with a 90.5 accuracy and 0.5 or 0.4 fire rate, along side a 2 round clip. Any gamer worth his weight will know that the reference is, of course, Resident Evil 4, my favourite ever game of all time and a half apart from borderlands. The main hero and platable character was Leon S. Kennedy, and the quote, "Prepare for your death Leon" is from the main protaganist Oscar Saddler, a mutated human. He says this line during the final boss fight. A Lonely Nomad 19:03, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

The first thing I thought of was Star Fox 64, where Falco is about to kill his counterpart on Team Wolf, Leon. I still play that game on the N64 too lol. Pepsihawk

Actually, Jack Krauser said this line during the third phase of his fight with Leon Kennedy, when they were standing on a tower rigged with C4 explosives. So maybe this gun's name should reference that character, not Leon, who obviously survived. Friendlypipot 07:18, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

CHKN Knife

A Thousand Deaths!

Revolver-Gearbox-One Round Clip-Always has a melee attachment-Always spawns with 1 dmg

The weapon is named after the Chicken Knife of Final Fantasy fame. The weapon got stronger each time you ran away, but since you can't run away in this game, it just counts the number of deaths your character has had. The reference is the old line about how cowards die a thousand deaths, which is how the gun gets stronger. Each death adds one damage or so to the counter, and ignores proficiencies and skills that increase damage. The blade itself also increases melee percentage, but it increases based on how many times you die as well. Limit should be included if need be, as someone who dies a thousand times would have a 1001 damaging bullet, with 1000%+ Melee damage, and ten thousand times 10,001 bullet damage, with 10,000%+ Melee Damage.

AGN-T 47 Ballers

Professional approved!

Tediore-manufactured guns. They appear as somewhat basic repeater pistols with regenerating ammo (like The Dove). Their unique for they are duel wielded. This has some serious disadvantages, however.

  • The Ballers cannot be aimed like other guns, as the aim button is used to fire the gun in the left hand.
  • Grenades cannot be used while the Ballers are drawn.
  • They will never have a scope, and the Ballers use a special accessory to allow duel wielding, so no melee or elemetal effect.
  • They have a slower than normal rof for Tediore weapons.

They do have some advantages that hopefully balance out with the disadvantages:

  • They have much higher accuracy than other Tediore guns as well as having slightly higher strength
  • They have built in silencers, so shots wont alert enemies
  • They do posess regenerating ammo, so they dont need to be reloaded

Based off of the trademark guns that Agent 47 uses in the Hitman series. Lone-Wanderer 17:21, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

LBWSKI Walter's Peacekeeper

Mark it ZERO!

This is a Torgue-brand repeater pistol, and carries 12 bullets per clip. The fire rate on it will be extremely slow (1.0-2.0 maximum), but packs an extremely powerful punch, ranging within revolver damage areas without the recoil of a revolver pistol (At high level variants, estimate between 700 and 1050 damage). The flavor text provides a 300% critical hit boost. This gun cannot come with a scope on it or a blade, but has the capability of a Masher attachment. The sheer power of Torgue in the size of a pistol, that's BAD ASS!

The quote is from the movie 'The Big Lebowski', where Walter pulls a gun out on an opposing bowler, Smokey, for stepping over the foul line and not having the frame marked a 0 instead of an 8. Obviously, the gun's name also references Walter, as well as the movie.

Hate to break it it to you, but the Chimera does shoot Explosive bullets, so this effect technically already exists. Ion69 01:42, May 22, 2010 (UTC)Ion69

Moon Beam

Moonites gonna get ya...

This reference may not be all that well known, if any of you have ever seen Aqua Teen Hunger Force you will know the moonites, this is a reference to the moon beam/blaster that one of the moonites shoots the character carl with. It would be Atlas, it would have a super slow fire rate like .01, it's reload time would also be very long, it would hold one shot and have ammo regen. Another thing to keep in mind is the projectile speed it would be so very very slow think like 1/10 of the redemption rocket speed, but the fun part, this gun would do little to no damage just like in the show it would just teleport the enemy to a different location, it would work on anything but bosses. xbox GT SinsterNobody

This gun would be awesome, and it would be even more awesome if they put Kon's gun in as well :D In fact, I'ma do that right now♥

.357 DEM BROTHERLY LOVE

Are you ready for this shit, my dear brother?

Quote from Boondock Saints 2 and name is reference to it as well. Would be 2 pistols (Torgue) with revolver traits, they would be duel wield which would mean you could not use grenades while in hand. At level 61: 2.5 fire rate per gun, 600(+-) damage, accuracy around 92-94, No Zoom with a 8 round clip per gun. Ability: guns have silencers which will make killing enemies without making others aware possible. Also in heavy fire fights envolving several enemies (this would vary depending on number of players) the gun would not consume ammo, allowing unlimited fire(no reload) until enemies are defeated.

Dare

It's coming up... Its coming up...

A rather obvious reference to the Gorillaz song Dare, in which the song starts with the lines: "It's comin' up... It's comin' up... It's Dare. It's a Jakobs Revolver with homing bullets that start off at a slow velocity, and gradually move faster as they get closer to the enemy. The special effect is that they have a 50% chance to go directly for a critical hit. It can also come with explosive elemental abilities but that's it. But the only way that you can get it to home in on your enemies is by locking on to them (aim at them for 2 seconds) otherwise, it fires like a normal revolver. It has +200% critical hit damage, 3,6, or 7 rounds, and +1000% fire rate.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Jakob's guns CAN'T have elemental effects. Ion69 20:11, June 4, 2010 (UTC)Ion69

DR460N Choedan Kal

Let the Lords of Chaos rule.

The weapon comes from the Wheel of Time, and is a reference to Rand and the power of the Choedan Kal, and the red text comes from a line in a children's game in the book. The weapon has a unique accessory and barrel, that is twisted and lit by five colors, red, green, blue, yellow, and white, and is representative of both the five seperate powers in the story, and the guns five effects. Each bullet has a random chance of being incendiary, corrosive, shock, explosive, or transfusion, with a hidden X5 multiplier. The gun can also shoot a normal bullet instead, or multiple types at once. The gun shows a low damage, but to represent the Choedan Kal, has a damage min-max variance of being either weak, or insanely strong but getting either end is extremely rare. The gun has a very random variable, and every fifteen minutes or so, in line with new weapons at the shop, it will change the accuracy, rate of fire, and it's reload speed. This weapon would be made by Gearbox, as the special nature of the weapon is like a gift from the heavens, i.e. the makers of the game. Would only be a level 61, and can only spawn as a pearlescent.

An obvious reference to the smash-hit video here.

This Maliwan made gun is the exact same as a Maliwan Hellfire except that it shoots shock bullets. So yeah.... :S

X-O Joshua

Strange game...

A reference to the movie War Games, when the computer Joshua has a very large amount of ties in Tic-Tac-Toe games with himself, and says, "A strange game, the only winning move is to not play. How about a nice game of chess?"

This will me a Maliwan-made gun with:

RoF: 6-14

Accuracy %: 80-95

Damage: 80-180 x5

Clip size: 25-70

Reloading speed: Decent

In addition to being elemental x2-4, the bullets will either form an X or an O. If it forms an X, it will be corrosive and explosive and will shoot out 5 pellets on impact in the shape of a star vertically, much like a Hyperion Nidhogg, ricocheting up to 2 times. If it forms an O, it will be shock and incendiary and will form a star on impact horizontally, and again, ricocheting up to 2 times.

ParadiseNigh, May 16, 01:26 AM, 2010.

Dragon

What a waste...

No definate manufacturer yet, but leaning towards either Hyperion or Torgue. SMG, will have a decent rof and accuracy, may come with any sights, but will only ever spawn with the unique Dragon accessory. The Dragon will have a mag anywhere from 25-35 rounds, and when you reload, however many rounds are in the mag will be lost (example: 30 round mag, 3 fired, 27 lost when reloaded) So does that mean it doesnt pay to reload with bullets in the mag? that depends on if you're being chased by a persistent psycho or not...

The Dragon's accessory allows the spent mags to become Proxy bombs. This will only happen if the mag dropped has ammo in it, if its empty, the mag wont become a mine. Unlike other mags which seem to just disappear once ejected, Dragon mags will appear on the ground with a flashing red light on top. The damage a proxy bomb can do is determined by the number of bullets in the mag, so the more in the gun, the more powerful the bomb will be. Also, the each bullet will do damage the weapon's damage, plus damage and a half; so it ends up being 2.5x what the damage is on the card. Also, that same damage number is multiplied by how many bullets are in the dropped mag. So with the example above, the weapon's damage is 45, so adding the Dragons proxy bomb effect, that 45 damage becomes 45 + 45 +23 =113 damage per bullet, x27 in the mag, equals 3051 damage done to the enemy that sets off the bomb. Also important to note, this is the damage done to all enemies, not damage spread eqaully among any enemies in blast radius (which is quite small).

Name and effect after the Dragon Assault Rifle from Perfect Dark (awesome game, worth the 800 points on XBLA). The Dragon had a scondary mode which turned it into a one time use proxy mine, so if you use the secondary mode, you lose the gun, which is where the red text comes from. The major difference is that this dragon doesnt blow up, only the mag full of unspent ammo. Lone-Wanderer 01:49, May 11, 2010 (UTC) (this post was originally mine, forgot to log on...)

Thunderbird

Who the **** came in front of my sun?

Torgue-Submachine Gun-Thunderbird Damage would be about 100-160 and always x2, because Thunderbird had 2 heads. It would always have Shock 4x and Accuracy would be around 75.0 because Rate of Fire would be 10.0-18.0 and Magazine Capacity would be 38-60. Thunderbird was enormous (in some stories, Thunderbird´s wingspan was over 5 km) and that´s why this red text effect.[By: Sinister5310]

I don't think you can have 2 barrel accesories - x2 bullets and x4 shock are impossible on the same gun. A Lonely Nomad 11:20, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, thanks, no x2 bullets. But something... Hmm... But no ricoching bullets, I hate them... Ok, no ideas? 19:12, May 1, 2010

though it must have moderate damage, fire rate and accuracy. i would almost prefer that whatever class the main character is is what type forms..... like with a sniper its either a revolver or sniper(snipers need a weapon that must have a regen ammo), siren a smg, brick a rocketlauncher, and soldier either a machinegun or a shotty. Needler

Son-of-a-b... BOOM!

Maliwan SMG- If I need to explain this to anyone, WTH? Anyways...

Effect- When fired at enemies the, the bullets will activly seek the closest enemy to them (the bullets) within your field of vision. Bullets will do no damage until you release the SMG trigger, after which the bullets will explode, killing the enemy. Can kill badasses and bosses, but only if their health is low enough. Would use the lesser accurate barrels, and would come with unique elemental accessory, Which glows pink. Needler would also be unique for a Maliwan, as it would not have any elemental effect shown on card, but would techniqly have explosion damage.

Helix

360 Degrees of Stomach-Wrenching Action

This is a Sub-Machine Gun that plays on the Anarchy's multi-shot functionality as it fires three rounds per trigger-squeeze (Remember the Anarchy effect itself only gives x3), but instead of scattering rounds, firing constantly results in a circular spread pattern creating complete circles. The stats of this weapon typically consist of a lower base damage and fire rate between 6.0 and 8.0, no elemental effect with the option of telescopic sights. The spacing of the shot pattern is equivalent to the Hydra.

Reference is the Descent series: Featuring 360 Degrees of Stomach-Wrenching Action, with the title referring to the Helix Cannon from Descent 2, which fires in a circular pattern. SpootKnight 05:19, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Skuttlz' SMG

Taste the rainbow

Has this never been done? Wow.

A mission reward for defeating Mr. Skuttlz, (see backstory below), this SMG will feature a randomly chosen and alternating elemental modifier, a miniscule-low attack power and perhaps mid-90's accuracy. The clip size should be 400, the number of skittles in a 16-oz bag. The trick is its +1,000% burst fire count and low (x1 or x2 at most) modifier, but Very High Elemental Effect Chance; thus creating hundreds of tiny puffs of color. It should have almost no recoil as well, lest it become unwieldly. Alternately, it could spawn with a good scope, thus facilitating the ability to zoom in, fire off a deluge of delicious destruction, and zoom out to see skittles bloom in the distance. The gun should be very colorful, perhaps with a Skuttlz logo? It'll be Maliwan, of course.

Mr. Skuttlz was a kind-hearted young candies peddler in a small Pandoran village when a roaming squad of bandits decided they had a sweet tooth. Despite the bandits' voracious appetite for destruction (and candy), Mr. Skuttlz survived, though his wife and children did not. Skuttlz swore revenge, gathered survivors from the wreckage and took the fight to the bandits by slaughtering their leader. The survivors and their newfound chieftain took to roaming Pandora, cleansing it of bandits. Eventually, however, grief rotted Skuttlz' heart as surely as his namesake rotted his teeth, and he became worse than those he swore revenge upon. The other survivors have secretly contacted you, offering a reward for putting their former favorite candyman out of his misery. MrPipperz 12:05, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

LOTR1 Ring

My Precious!!!

S&S Munitions SMG. Has low shooting qualities but and a extended magazine that looses 1 bullet per second, makes the user invisible, but once the clip runs out, the user is visible again.

This one would be very difficult, if not impossible. Simply put, S&S doesn't make SMG's lol. This could be a machine pistol or machinegun though.ICT Venom 17:57, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

Tediore smg referencing Captain Insano fom The Waterboy. It would be a double anarchy with twisted bullets and would have an on kill bonus to damage and rof. Fairly basic smg stats with 12 rof and 30-40 accuacy, but a 100 round clip.

  • Not scoped - Has high recoil - Has + %200 Damage
  • Uses ammo quickload; must have 3 or 6 grenades remaining for reloading; meaning if you have five grenades left, you can only reload three of them.
  • Manufacturer: S&S (since they manufacture the sticky grenades).
  • Type: Assault Shotgun
  • Model: S&S Munitions Cerebus
  • Element: Whatever grenade mode is used
  • Damage: Whatever grenade level is
  • Accuracy: Low 70’s-Low 90’s
  • Rate of Fire: 1.6

GARBAGE DAY....hahahaha....

clip size: 6-10, fire rate 0.9-1.5, average damage, X9 pellets. the red text effect would be that it doesn't shoot bullets, it shoots rubbish (trash) similar to those found in skag piles. (the game would just register them as large bullets). also, it can penetrate smalle cover, like the armoury's thin barricades on the highways, and gain +25 if it has to go through cover to reach it. alternatively, it could negate shields, like that skill the hunter has (the name escapes me)

this is a reference to "silent night deadly night 2" [[4]], where once character stands in the road with a revolver, shouts "garbage day!", then proceeds to shoot a man taking out his bin. he shoots throught the bin, hence the peneration effect, and the shooting "trash". also, i want to thank whoever edited this to fit with WIKI style :D i just remembered this while i was looking at the thread here. Diablo

Hell hath nothing like this!

A Jakobs shotgun, it would be almost the same as Sledge's Shotgun. It would have a two shot mag, and would fire both shots at once, but unlike Sledge's shotgun you cant melee cancle the second shot. It fires out a massive number of pellets, impossible to count, and does massive damage. It also has insanly high accuracy, yet the shots are only effective at close range. Also, because it lacks the normal pellet spreading, it isnt good against multiple enemies at once.

Where it shines is its fast reload speed, allowing you to get a shot off and reload quickly, thus letting you put a number of lead walls down range. It also can deal high damage to all enemies, even badass and boss, and will completely obliterate shields. It will never have a scope or elemental effect (this should be obvious, because its a Jakobs) and would also have a unique stock, similar to stock two, minus the hand grip on the front.

Based on the super shotgun from the Doom series, which fires both shells when used. The main character in Doom and Doom 2 faught against the forces of hell, and eventually decided to stay in hell to prevent them from ever attacking Earth again. Badass. Diablo is just spanish for Devil, or so I am told... Lone-Wanderer 18:52, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

T0-NY Stark

I Am Iron Man

A S&S Munitions shotgun. The name references Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man. The flavor text references the Black Sabbath song Iron Man. Unlike most S&S guns, it has red accents (to appear simmilar to Ironman's armor). It has high power, but low mag size and average accuracy. It shoots in a small cluster of glowing blue bullets that have a high knockback l to be like his repulsor guantlets.

Shock Shotty? GnarlyToaster 23:54, May 6, 2010 (UTC)

If it's a S&S Munitions, they specialize in big mags. Maybe use a Hyperion to take advantage of the red accents, mag size, and power? Pepsihawk

What about Torgue, so it can have the prefix "Iron"? Kranren

Having the manufacturer be Hyperion would make more sense stat wise, though Torgue would allow it to have all around stats. Whatever would be the best, It could be like the Typhoon or Athena's Wisdom and have an odd color scheme for a gun of that manufacturer so despite whoever makes it, it would still be red & gold.Omegaironman 02:21, June 8, 2010 (UTC)Omegaironman

Force-A-Nature

Brutha, I hurt people

This would be a Jakobs shotgun for the wood finish. It would have two sawed-off barrels and a very fast rate of fire. It would deal high damage, but have high spread. It would also have a knock-back effect and, if shot while the user is in the air, it would propel them higher in the air. It would also make the user run twice as fast while they had it equipped and be able to double-jump. It would never have a scope or elemental effect. this is a reference to the Scout from Team Fortress 2 and his shotgun.A Fistful of Lightning 22:14, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

T.K.'s Shotty

You're not a skag, are you?

T.K. Baha's double barrel shotgun, from the cutscene where you first meet T.K. Baha.

(Level 61 version) It does 750 damage x 1 per bullet (buck's), 65-80% Accuracy, and a 2-4 fire rate. It has no scope or sight, but when zoomed in it gets a 50% damage bonus. It also has -20-30% recoil reduction, but a fast reloading time, 100% damage on skags. Can either be clean or Explosive x3-4. In addition, it has a 50% chance knocking enemy back (80% when crouching)

The Wall

It's a freakin' wall of lead!

A 12 clip shotgun that does 100 damage per pellet but each shot has a spread of the whole screen and fires 50 or100 pellets. Each pellet can also ricochet once, thus creating a "wall" of lead. It would never have a scope and very rarely would be elemental but only x1. Elemental versions would always be the 50 pellet but can ricochet twice.

The effect is that the gun will fire a carnage rocket with an excessive amount of damage - up around 1500. It will also have greatly increased accuracy. The Matrix

There is no spoon

I had an idea for a shotgun called the Matrix. It would be a combat shotgun with a 5 round magazine and a good fire rate. It fires 12 pellets, all of which bounce 4-5 times each, and would have x4 corrosive damage. The reference is obviously to the popular movie, the Matrix, in which the green computer text is a common theme. The spread would look awesome in confined areas, and would be effective too. The red text could be "Welcome to the real world" , as uttered by Morpheus, or perhaps for "There is no spoon", although that doesn't fit quite right. Finally, theres "What do you need? Besides a miracle. - Guns. Lots of guns." I can't decide between these 3. Either way, it would be an awesome gun. TheHummel 23:54, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

Sure I put that idea down on the wiki before somewhere. If GBx use it I want a cut of the intellectual property royalties. Just kidding. I want all of them. ;-} IMonkoii 07:34, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe the pellets could have a slow travel rate, similar to a Tsunami SMG. That would be in keeping with the Matrix's "bullet time" scenes. As for a flavor text, how about Trinity's "Dodge this"? Kinda obscure, but appropriate to the shotgun. Personally, I like "There is no spoon." :D Fryguy42 04:23, April 23, 2010 (UTC)

It would be better if it was shock as we already have a corrosive shotty. A Lonely Nomad 15:39, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

Not all weapon types are supposed to cover all elements. If each specific weapon type is considered, no weapon type has full elemental coverage - the Chimera counts as a bit of each, so it's no competitor to the Madjack; Kyros' Power is mainly transfusion, so explosive credit goes to the Cobra. Back to the subject, the weapon effect could be similar to TK's Wave. The projectiles can fire out in a straight line that bounces off surfaces, but travel extremely slowly. Higher damage could compensate for it. --Nagamarky 16:00, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

Its just we have the plague (corrosive), crux and hammer( explosive), friendly fire( incendinary) and I would like my soldier to have a shottie for every occasion. =D A Lonely Nomad 16:07, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

True. When I was farming Craw for shotgun proficiency, I was using a Plague, Hammer and FFire; kept mumbling to myself about the lack of a legendary shock shotgun. I've never found a shock shotgun good enough to outdo my normal one. --Nagamarky 16:15, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

I agree that there is a lack of a killer shock shotgun in the game. The corrosive (green) effect works well in keeping with the TheHummel's Matrix theme so.....sounds like a challenge to me, B'Landers! Can someone come up with a shock shotgun AND a historical or pop cultural reference to tie it to?

On a serious note, this is my first attempt at a real wiki and I was unaware that an email was sent out every time I hit the "save page" button. Fryguy42 16:40, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

I agree with A Lonely Nomad, there's like no X4 shock shotty's in the game so shock would probably be better. Kodman18

735-L4/133N-ph Lightning Rod

Unique Maliwan shotgun, more so for the fact that it can come as either a Assault or Repeater. Both versions use a unique accessory, which has the apperance of the regular elemental shotgun accessory, but the tube is transparent in the middle, and has a bolt of electricity running through it. Both shotguns have a x4 shock effect.

ZZZTTTZZTZZZTTTTZZZTT!!!

The Assault shotgun will be the 735-L4, and come with the top flaver text. the numbers are leetspeak for TESLA. It has a 12 shot mag, but does low damage. It makes up for this by its effect, which allows it to do higher than normal shock damage and can deplete shields like they're nothing. Even better, if enemies are standing near by, the shock effect will jump to them too, allowing you to reduce a room full of shielded bandits to fodder easily. Of course, it has low damage, but used in combination with a Hellfire would solve that problem. Text references the static sound of a tesla coil sparking.

Electricity is the Key!

The Repeater shotgun will be the 133N-ph, and comes with the bottom flavor text. Like for Tesla's name, written in leet, this one (if you havent already geussed) is for Ben Franklin (BEN F). It would have a six shot mag, and deals higher damage. The pellets will not carry the shock effect, however. Instead, when you fire the gun, it will send out a large cone a lightning bolts, causeing shield to be depleted and shock damage done, the lighting cone will occur slightly before the actual pellets leae the barrel, leaving the unfortunate target sieldless and with a face full of bird shot. The text is based off of Franklin's famous experiment.

Note: I apologize to A Lonely Nomad, your assualt shotgun idea was here first. Lone-Wanderer 21:04, May 14, 2010 (UTC)

Conductor

The giant has risen

Heres an attempt. Maliwan - Conductor - Assault Shotgun - The giant has risen - Referencing the wunderwaffe dg2 from nazi zombies.

The pellets have a 100% chance to cause shock, It sports a 3 round clip (so did the wunderwaffe) and does the highest shock damage in the game. The bullets travel slowly through the air and cannot riquochet. It also has the chance to spread to enemies in a similar fashion to the defiler, just like the wunderwaffe ( it always spread between enemies.) A Lonely Nomad 16:49, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

The Portal

The cake is a lie

Somebody should put this where it belongs later, as I don't know how, but I'll give my spin on an electric shotgun. It would be called the Portal, in reference to the game Portal, in which you have a gun with shoots one hole, which is blue, and then a second one, which is yellow/orange, and you could go through the spot where you shot one of the two portals and appear at the spot where you shot the other portal. You should probably look up the game if you don't know what I'm talking about, because the concept is hard to explain. Anyways, the shotgun would fire just 2 shots- which would be very powerful shots, and have a 100% chance to deal shock damage. If possible, one shot would be a blue color (pretty much as it is) and the other would be orange. The fire rate would be adequate, but not too much, and the accuracy would be fairly good. The red text would be "The cake is a lie", which is probably one of the most well known quotes from any videogame. There are literally dozens of other good quotes from the game that could also fit, but this is the most pop-culture-y and most widely known. I welcome comments/ additions! TheHummel 06:41, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

I love this gun! It's only appropriate that Gearbox pay tribute to Half-Life, an FPS that helped to define the genre. Like TheHummel says, there are so many good quotes from Portal that we could come up with variations on the Portal Shotgun all day. How 'bout a rarer type that spawns with the flavor text "Still Alive" that endows the gun with slow ammo regen? Also, a few thoughts to tweak your idea: a 2-shot magazine would make this a Hunter-type shotgun (my personal favorite) which would naturally have high power, high accuracy, and a moderate RoF. In keeping with the Borderlands mechanics the first shot would be Shock (blue) and the second shot would be Fire (orange). I would not want to be on the wrong end of this gun! Fryguy42 19:32, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

The Still Alive quote should give about the same thing as the Atlas Aries.CinnamonPheonix 21:55, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

You are right, of course. I keep forgetting about the Aries. Fryguy42 22:10, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Due to all the quotes that could be used, they could probably make a Portal gun manufacturer.

^ Haha, true, they probably could. I have some more thoughts for this gun. It should be smooth, rounded, and white, like the original portal gun, and preferably have a small bar code on the side of it. One shot should be shock and the other should be fire, as Fryguy42 said... however I don't know if this is possible in the current game mechanics. All the other multi-elemental guns alternate between them, even the tsunami; it just does so very rapidly. I am unsure if it is possible to have it shoot two kinds in one single shot. Instead, it could be like Sledge's shotgun, which fires twice with only one pull of the trigger. This is keeping more in theme of the original gun too, because it was a one-shot style weapon, but at the same time it loses functionality as a true shotgun. If they fired mini-rocket things, though, then we may have a whole new kind of gun on our hands, but it could be the first actually effective rocket launching shotgun. Still, a double-elemental shotgun would be preferred. These are just my thoughts. TheHummel 21:27, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, what if the first shot was shock (blue), and the second shot fire (orange)? Just an idea. Spaphrenchie 23:31, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

"You will be baked, then there will be cake" or "Equipment malfunction prior to your victory candescence" a shield with an extra powerful fire pulse when depleted. Anon 0:10, April 31, 2010

How about a shotgun that either A) when you fire it, the cluster of pellets goes through a portal similar to that of the Longbow Grenades

OR

B) When you zoom in, you are looking throgh a portal in the air infront of you... it has infinite zoom, and can hit any target that you can see in the portal infront of you... perhaps low capacity/damge to componsate for the infinite zoome/length shot?

I say it should be a 2-shot with a 200% burst mod, like sledges that the first one does shock and the second does incindiary everytime and should hit where your aiming INSTANTLY, hence the portals :)

Mac Daddy

Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest son-of-a-bitch...

Hyperion Assualt Shotgun- the flavor text is based off of what can be over heard from a gunnery chief in ME2. It would have several effects

  • instead of shooting a spread, it will only shoot one shot per shell
  • the Mac Daddy will have 100% acc to make up for lack of pellets
  • It has the ability to bypass shields, like the hunter ability
  • Has a 60% chance to crit-kill non-baddass/boss enemies.

It would have both a unique barrel and acsessory, the barrel will have a kind of box shape ( front view of barrel > []) with a blue light effect along the side of it. Lone-Wanderer

8008 Nipple

They're not a crime

This would be a Tediore single-barrel, one shot magazine shotgun with 0 accuracy and mediocre damage at best. Sounds pretty crappy, right? Wrong. This weapon would have a x20 damage multiplier to ensure it hits something.

The fun part: ALL enemies struck by this weapon are stunned for a minimum of 10 seconds, more if multiple pellets hit them. If the enemy is more than 5 levels below the user, they may cease firing all together. The quote comes from a crude internet joke: Epic Tits are not a crime.

For those of you who thought this was innapropriate and crass, bite me. I took all the wrong messages away from Fight Club...Rampant Anarchist 02:12, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

L0K1 Jotun

This is why the EARTH SHAKES!

Combat Shotgun Prefix is determined by the accesory. Shells fire 9 pellet Increased Knockback +25% Accuracy. +200% Burst-fire count. (May have either the 2, 6, or 12 round chamber or clip) +66% Recoil Reduction.

Prefix gives x4 Corrosive with a hidden x4 Incendiary element, as Loki was both bound under a poison snake, and was believed to be attributed to fire, which is Logi in Norse. His face would be burned by the poison, and every time that happened it caused an earthquake, hence the title. Shots will also burstfire, but have will have increased recoil reduction to make the shots more centered on target. Accuracy increase is to stop it from being a point blank only weapon.

Maliwan is chosen due to elemental affinity. Your local NorseKnower DraconisOminious 21:14, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

I requested a weapon with a reference to Loki so...thanks for the L0K1, DraconisOminious. I'm using an elemental-only soldier right now and there's a definite lack of good elemental shotguns. How about a L0K1 Jotun with the -5 suffix, for Sigyn? That spawn would lose the Corrosive element, of course. Or reduce it to 1x. Fryguy42 02:25, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

AS-850 Terminator

I'll be back.

Hyperion Electric shotgun, shoots 12 pellets at once, pellets ricochet many times at original shot speed. Shotgun has a 2 shot clip, may come with a scope. Grey and red coloring. Red text refers to the 80's movie Terminator, when he enters a police station, leaves, and returns by driving a car through the entrance.

The Fairy

Hey, Listen!

Navi from Legend of Zelda. Shotgun, small healing effect or guaranteed moderate lightning/explosion effect. Small weapon model, brightly painted or possibly slightly glowing. High spread, moderate damage, moderate refire, small clip (3-4 with cartridge-style reloading). Anon 21:27, April 30, 2010

DBZ model goku shotgun

'i'ts over 9000 !!'

reference to one of the most famous dragon ball z scenes where nappa asks vegeta "what does the scouter say about his power level" wich vegeta answers with "ITS OVER 9000 !!!!"

the shotgun should be level 61 with 9000 damage but an extremely large spread ,slow fire rate and a 2-shot magazine

the insane amount of damage should not make the game too easy if the spread is so large that most of the pellets will miss or hit other targets.

Dynamite

Pedro offers you his protection.

(Don't know how to make red, and I'm not sure if I underlined properly) The gun is a shotgun manufactured by Torgue. It has x4 explosive, does high damage (including the explosive), has a normal accuracy for a shotgun, has a 2 bullet clip with a 500% burst fire count. The special thing about this weapon is that it has a hidden x3 fire element, so each shot would do exposive and fire damage, hence the nname dynamite. SWARM

One bee makes no swarm

this is a Torgue seeker shotgun it shoots out a high amount of pellets that the higher the level the greater the seeking abilaty each pellet wouldnt do much damage but it would be alot of pellets it would go for closest or strongest enemy depending on wich slot you have it equiped (maybe) not so great for many enemies but against a boss it could be great chance for element most likely corrosive or fire to go with the bee thing no need for a scope the quate if from a french proverb or maybe "One zerg makes no swarm" a reference to starcraft the company is open to suggestion Aren01 03:04, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Flak

Flak Monkey

A vladof assault shotgun with x12 pellets. The bullets have a high ricochet and a crit damage bonus. Rest of stats for the gun would be that of any normal shotgun allowing for a wide spread of abilities and play styles.

Yo, cause it's a Flak cannon, shouldn't the bullets be affected by Gravity? GnarlyToaster 21:20, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

The flak cannons flak ball is affected by gravity but this gun does not shoot the ball only the flak.

AHEM!* Unreal lesson time. The primary fire of any of the Unreal Flak Cannons are not affected by physics, until they've ricocheted off a surface for the first time, the shell of its secondary fire always has a trajectory. SpootKnight 04:08, May 2, 2010 (UTC

Legend

Ma! The Meatloaf!

Dahl combat shotgun refencing Chazz Reihold from the movie wedding crashers. Shotgun would be 2 round burst with a 6-12 round magazine and a 100% chance of incinderary x4 rof rest of stat would be generic elemental combat shotgun stats.

HBII Big Baby

Don't wake the baby!

This Dahl combat shotgun references the "Big Baby" six-barreled shotgun shown in Hellboy II: The Golden Army and wielded by the title character. It will be based on the frame of the Matador, pistol-gripped with a rotary magazine in lieu of six barrels. It will have a low RoF (0.6 - 0.9) and high accuracy (~63.9%). It will borrow the "Holy crap! It shoots rockets!" quote from the Atlas Carnage (along with the attendant negative recoil reduction and high damage multipliers) and shoot a single, small rocket instead of projectiles. (Yes, I hate that mod just like everyone else but it fits. lol) Fryguy42 22:06, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

The Duke

It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of gum

A combat shotgun distinguished by its ability to fire continuously. Damage is only moderate-high and rate of fire is only about average and it can never have a scope. However, this shotgun boasts accuracy and shot grouping slightly below that of a Hunter's Shotgun, and while the gun has high visible recoil, it always has a pronounced fore grip and recenters exactly on target after each shot (so actual recoil is zero). What really distinguishes this gun, though, is that it has an infinitely large magazine, so while it does use ammo, the user never has to reload the gun. The gun a reference to Duke Nukem of the Duke Nukem series of games, whose catch phrase was "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of gum". The special effect of the gun reflect how in the games, despite pumping the shotgun after each firing, Duke never needs to reload because all his reserve bullets are contained in one absurdly large magazine for each gun type, and the size of the reticule and shot spread never changes while firing even as the shotgun is pumped vertically. Skeve613 21:45, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Damn you... why didnt I think of this? But I submit, and bow to you, good sir. Well played. Lone-Wanderer 22:09, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

But should this be a reference to Duke Nukem, or the movie "They Live"? (imdb.com) The bubblegum quote was originally from that movie. -- SanguisDiabolus 01:23, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

True, "They Live" did have it first, but I think that if you just showed the red text, most people would think Duke Nukem first. Lone-Wanderer 01:55, May 5, 2010 (UTC)

Inferno

It burns, burns, burns...

The refernce is a Johnny Cash song called "Ring of Fire." This should be a Maliwan assault shotgun simalar to the Maliwan Crux, but with fire. It should shoot 9 visible red bullets at a time doing anywhere from 130-200 damage with x4 fire at level 61. It should also do extensive fire damage at close range since so much fire will be emmited. It can have a scope and good accuracy, or good fire rate and less accuracy. The point is it will look like an inferno coming out of the barrel.

GT:BORK13

Perhaps make the bullets fire in a circular ring shape and maybe have the ability that some of the other fire weapons have so that it always bursts into flames.

Yeah like a twisted barrel. That would be nice.

KYT-1689 Dead Killer

Pills here! PIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLS!!!

Shotgun. Combat type. Frag rounds. Kills stuff. Heals team-mates......WHAT?!?! Yeah, reference to Left 4 Dead 2's "pills" and the tagline "Grabbing Pills". 400X12 damage. Average spread. 10 bullets per clip. Aim. Fire. Reload. Have a nice day.

60M3R Pyl3

SIR, A JELLY DONUT, SIR!

A reference to the Full Metal Jacket scene where a jelly donut is found in Pyle's foot-locker. The name is also leetspeak for Gomer Pyle, the nickname he is called throughout the movie. A Dahl shotgun that can come in any element x3 with + 50% critical hit damage. Does approximately 2500 damage, accuracy doesn't really matter, you will understand later. 6-8 bullets per clip. 2.3 fire rate, The shotgun itself looks like a normal shotgun with a purple smear on it. It has a special spread pattern unaffected by accuracy that takes the entire clip to see, it appears to be a donut with a piece of it missing. Pikminfreik 21:12, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

(Little) Sister

It's a nice day... Or Nice day to start again

Reference to the Billy Idol Song "White Wedding" Would be an Atlas manufacturer (for white color) and a shotgun (for the line "Hey little sister shotgun"). After every shot, the clip would automatically refill without reloading (to "start again"), though would still take from ammo supply.

Sledge's Requiem

Still eats ammo...

I'd really like to see a nice throwback to Sledge in BL2 - maybe something like a nice 2 shot shotty with some accuracy this time, instead of burst fire, and a custom stock that gives a melee bonus with a a nice big mallet head on it. Add some knockback to the melee, and maybe a better title/red text (suggestions appreciated) and yeah - I'd use it. I mean, I know it would require a whole new animation, but it would be more appropriate in BL2 than a DLC, and the spiked shotty animation is already pretty close to what you'd need.. Actually, if the knockback sent the enemies up into the air a little bit, it would be hilarious.. Maybe overpowered, but that's just the numbers - and that for the developers to 'hammer' out... lmao WhackyGordon 19:07, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

cool idea. maybe an alternate idea would be a high rof combat rifle with a laser sight and a reference to motorhead. "now poor sledge is finally at peace." free idea...somebody take it and run with it.   Jabberwocky   the frumious fry   19:35, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Hey - good call - I had a rough time coming up with something other than "Sledge's shotgun, but with a hammer on it" lol - I like the effect of the low damage knockback melee in Left 4 Dead - is BL1 "pop culture" enough for BL2? I just realized, this isn't very clever or obscure.. lol then again, somebody could just find some random Thor quote or any of the other millions of warhammer references... WhackyGordon 19:48, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

why not? sledge can't die, apparently. he's already come back again in the crow's nest as motormouth. "sledge have idea! idea say sledge come back in bl2!!"   Jabberwocky   the frumious fry   19:58, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

That's a good point - barring a return of Sledge (making the gun a boss drop) you could make this a really common orange like a Thanatos or an Equalizer - the kind of drop you gradually start to hate as you see dozens of the same gun - and flavour it something like "You thought you got rid of me the first time?" lol WhackyGordon 21:49, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Sniper Rifles

5H2 Pyramid

I was weak.... That's why I needed you.

Stats (Level 61):

Attack: 2xx-3xx

Accuracy: Very high (usually 97+)

RoF: 0.4-1.0

The quote is from the video game Silent Hill 2 in which James finds Mary, who is then executed by 2 Pyramid Heads. After witnessing this, the main character James says, "I was weak. That's why I needed you... needed someone to punish me for my sins... but that's all over now... I know the truth. Now it's time to end this."

Despite the gun has very low damage, it has a critical hit bonus of 300%. If you get a torso shot off, it gets another 300% bonus for a total of 600% (this is the reference to Pyramid Head, one of the main antagonists in the game, as he wears a giant pyramid-shaped helmet, making headshot damage impossible (hense the name) ). If your health has less then 30% left, the attack gets tripled. However, it has very high recoil and slow reloading speed. ParadiseNigh 21:29, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

R4ND-Callandor

Feel The Burn Of Saidin!

This would be a Maliwan shock sniper, around 800-1100 damage, a clip of 7, over 85% acc., a fire rate of 3-6.5, and always 4x effect. It also leaves a trail of light that damages all enemies touching it for ~90 dps. It also has the side effect of taking 50-70 points away from your shield, then your health. The name of the gun and the flav. text comes from the Wheel of Time series of books. The name of the weapon comes from the name of the sword Callandor, The Sword That is Not A Sword. The text comes from the male half of the True Source, Saidin. It is corrupted by evil, therefor, all males who touch it are driven insane from it, waste away, and cause mass destruction. Gamepro224 ~ Your resident no-life gamer 23:27, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Toxin (any other name suggestions would be great)

I'm melting, I'm melting!

This Maliwan gun will be a lot like the Volcano. It will have mid damage for a sniper (500-900), >90 acc., and a fire rate of about 1. Clip size of 6 or 3, depending on the damage, and a 4x corrosive.

Once an enemy is shot, the corrosive affect will always trigger, and will keep going until the enemy dies. Also, if the enemy runs into another enemy, the effect will spread 100% of the time.

The actual DoT won't be very high, but it doesn't stop until the enemy dies.

The quote is obviously from The Wizard of Oz, when the witch has water poured on her and screams "I'm melting!"

Also, name suggestions are needed :)

How 'bout the 'Wicked... (something)". Have to work on the "something" part. Fryguy42 00:52, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

It's about freakin' time someone came up with a Corrosive Sniper, as for the name, how about the "Wicked Dorthy" (or however you spell it) Since she's the one who melted the Witch. Ion69 02:19, May 11, 2010 (UTC)Ion69

YES, SOMEONE COMMENTED ON MY IDEA! :)

yeah i was pissed when i first found out there was a shock, explosive and incindiary siper, but not a corrosive...its my fav :( maybe a unique gun called "sniper from the west"? lol

How about just "The West" since she was the Wicked witch of the west.Mazman1521 00:32, May 16, 2010 (UTC)

QGLY45-110 Sharps Shooter

This one shoots a mite further

This Jakobs sniper rifle is designed to give the Bessie a run for it's money. It will be a Pearlescent, single-shot, scope-less rifle featuring 4.9x zoom (or better), +500% critical hit damage, 94.7% - 97.8% accuracy, and will deal 1375 - 1985 damage. It will feature an longer-than-average octagonal barrel.

The Sharps Shooter is inspired by the 1990 movie "Quigley Down Under" and the featured .45-110 Shiloh Sharps 1874 Long Rifle. Tom Selleck plays Matthew Quigley, an American cowboy and rifleman capable of using his incredibly powerful rifle to take down targets (and bad guys) well over 1,200 yards away. The unusually-high zoom on this rifle reflects the shooter's ability to hit a target exceptionally far away. The flavor text is a quote borrowed from when Quigley talks about his ladder-elevated peep sight, mentioning that it is sighted for 1,200 yards but his rifle "shoots a mite further." Fryguy42 22:58, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

Umm. . . How can it be scopeless with a zoom? Sorry about the question, but, heh, I've had bugged spawn before where I grabbed a "scoped" Lady Fingers that had a great zoom. . . on the item card, that is. Tis all, Fryguy42. DraconisOminious 05:38, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

I'm so glad you asked, Drac. The answer to that question is: "beats the living crap out of me how a weapon can zoom without a scope." You'll have to ask the fine folks at Gearbox. In lieu of a logical answer I will simply direct you to the Krom's Sidearm page. I can back up that pic with my own experience. After killing Krom I found a scope-less Krom's Sidearm with "zoom" that got up real close and personal on the baddies. Fryguy42 06:15, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, even my own explanation rang pretty hollow in my ears. Krom can take his scope-less zooming sidearm and stick it where the sun don't shine. I don't care how "futuristic" or "steampunk" you are, a gun cannot zoom without a scope. Anyway, this fix makes a lot more sense: give the Sharps Shooter a single-lens scope and a front iron sight like a combat rifle. That will also ring true to the original Sharps rifle with its single ladder-elevated sight. Fryguy42 16:04, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Found the perfect vertical sight for the Sharps Shooter. See the discussion page for pics. Fryguy42 01:38, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Assassino

Requiescat in Pace

I'm thinkin a Hyperion. High Damage, but also, the kick is if you get a critical hit, it's an instant kill. Of course, not on bosses, or most badasses. Damage about 800-1300, accuracy 98, fire rate low, kinda like Etsio's wrist gun thingy. also! it looks really old, and in the scope, it as the assassin's creed symbol, or if they're not allowed to use it, some assassin like symbol lol. - Mellodious (PSN)

(High damage, low RoF, looks old...sounds like a Jakobs. Just a thought.) Fryguy42 04:24, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

SL62 Friendly Spider

Your friendly neighborhood sniper-man

Okay, new gun idea. This one is a sniper rifle referencing, obviously, Spiderman. The prefix "SL" is in honor of Stan Lee, co-creator (with Steve Ditko) of Spiderman and the "62" references Spidey's first appearance in the August 1962 issue of Amazing Fantasy.

This sniper rifle should be a Hyperion, to take advantage of the crimson color. Different spawns of the weapon will have varying magazine sizes, from 3 to 10, with the rarest featuring ammo regen, referencing Spiderman's different iterations throughout the years; sometimes he ran out of "web-juice" and sometimes he produced it himself through his mutation. The bullet should travel at normal speed but will show the tracers normally visible to other players but not to the shooter him/herself. The bullets will have a stun effect upon impact representing Spidey's use of his webs to tie up his enemies.

A rare variation of the SL62 Friendly Spider will be the:

SL62V Fearsome Spider

Your fearsome neighborhood sniper-man

The "V" suffix is for Venom and, in addition to the stun effect, the gun will have a corrosive effect as well. This sniper rifle should be colored black and should feature either an enlarged magazine or ammo regen.

G1N Nailer

Your head's like a hole

This Dahl sniper rifle is in honor of one of my favorite bands of forever, nine inch nails and their song from off the Pretty Hate Machine album "Head Like a Hole." (please no flame posts about how nin isn't technically a "band." I KNOW.) The prefix "G1N" is loose 133tsp33k for "9 Inch" and the flavor text, "your head's like a hole" implies exactly what it does....puts large holes in the baddies' heads. As a regular shooter it will deal moderate damage (think 600-700 at level 61) with a .4 to .6 RoF. The folks at Dahl will have made the Nailer with a very low recoil rate and a high bullet velocity. The relatively low damage will be more than made up for by the fact that the Nailer will have 300% burst fire while zoomed in and deal 500% critical hit damage. Fryguy42 04:24, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

There already is a Nailer, no? Thwack? IMonkoii 07:38, April 30, 2010 (UTC) Nailer is indeed already a gun. Quest reward for some MoN BB quest. Great idea. Should be the TR Niner or something like that. TR for Trent Reznor, who basically is the band NIN. Spaphrenchie 23:34, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Consider this an "honorary" sniper rifle. And, again, about the band... I KNOW. Fryguy42 20:19, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Espionage

Weapons and equipment OSP?

The Espionage is a Dahl-made sniper rifle with a black-and-dark gray-camo coloring. The gun is a reference to the Metal Gear Solid series, in which equipment and such is, for the most part, found during the game while staying hidden (OSP = On-Site Procurement). The special effect is that, while scoped in, the user sees all enemies tinted the color of their loot's rarity, or at least the highest rarity piece they have. It would also tend to have a high-quality scope, for long-range sniping. Basically, it lets you know if a Craw run will yield pearlescents, or which bandit/Lance to headshot first. The effect comes from its accessory, so the Espionage cannot be elemental.

On another note, I made a minor edit to the headings. Should be an improvement, if I didn't mess up. 0D/N Spear GUNGNIR

One-Eye sends his greetings

Cannot spawn with scopes 1,2,or 3 Accuracy 100.00 Clip Size : 1 Manufacturer: Hyperion Weapon Part Giving Title: Clip Specific Prefix: Spear Can have elemental accessories, but always proc x3 or x4.

Red Text Abilities: +50% Damage +300% Critical Damage +25% Reload Speed Weapon Accuracy is not affected by close combat modifier in the Underdome.

Gungnir is the spear of the Norse God Odin, that never missed. It has the prefix Spear to signify that it always has one shot, and because the term Lance denotes High accuracy, and Spear is a version of a lance, which Gungnir was. Odin was called One-Eye, hence the title, so a High powered highly accurate sniper with one shot before reloading reinforces the scheme. The Clip Size of 1 also means only a Soldier with full Overload and mods could hope to fire more then one-shot, though alternatively, an ability making it shoot every round for a full power shot could counter-act that to maintain the weapons flavor. Since Odin was also a user of magic, it is possible for the spear to be elemental, but never bellow x3 or x4 due to him being an Aesir. How is it? I can make other Norse themed weapons rather easily.

Reason for Hyperion: They already have the NIdhogg, and they are the company focused on accuracy.

The Gambler

You gotta know when to fold

Sniper rifle. No elemntal effect. Can only fire in scope mode. Cancels out all ammo regen, and slowly loses sniper ammo when equipped. In upper right corner of sniper sight, two changing numbers appear. Once every three seconds numbers 'lock' (this is fire rate) like rolling a dice. Varying damage depending on outcome of 'dice roll'. ie double ones= zero damage, double sixes= extreme over powered damage. Gun title and flavour text refrence to Kenny rogers song.

I like the idea but how about no ammo loss. Good job better than most here. :) Colesitzy 20:07, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

ammo loss idea is to prevent people (or at least make it more inconvient) to waiting till a double six rolls then holding off firing untill needed, so 'gambler' flavour text comes into play a bit more

Goriya

We've got boomerangs!

Legend of Neil. Sniper rifle with multiple ricochets and spiral path, also possibly with daze effect. Trailing particle effect to see spiral. High reload, slow refire, small clip to emulate boomerang's having to return before it can be thrown again. Anon 21:35, April 30, 2010

Honestly, what use is a weapon in a family of weapons that is built for long-range precision, if the rounds spiral? SpootKnight 04:46, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

In answer to SpootKnight: the use is quite simple. Multiple ricochets and a daze effect. If you can have a shotgun with tight spread meant to emulate a sniper rifle, why not have a sniper rifle that can handle some minor crowd control? It can also be a very tight spiral that makes no difference compared to its accuracy. Anon 22:35, April 30, 2010

I just want to add my 2 pennies, maybe the red text can effect the gun when it is not scoped, so that fronm logn distance it works jsut liek a sniper but close up it goes crazy? this would mean a sniper wouldnt have to change weapons in close combat, I'd definatly use this then! A Touch of Death

I can kill you with just one tap...

A Hyperion repeating sniper rifle, it comes with a two shot mag always and can come with elemental accessory. The rifle does minor damage (level dependent). It crowning glory is that it can kill enemies (and as oppesed to other weapons I came up with, even badasses!) in one shot. The trick: This sniper comes with a unique scope, that when you look through it, can show you various colored spots on enemies. These colored spots are Vital areas, and come in three colors, yellow for higher than normal damage, orange for high damage and the effect of enemies bleeding out, and red for instant kills. While it can kill an enemy with one shot, you will have to put that shot into one of these red vital areas. To prevent rapid fire after missing, it will have a low rof, maybe as low as Bessie.

The name is in reference to the fabled "Touch of Death", a martial arts move that can kill a person instantly or after three days. masters say they know the move, but will take the secret to their grave to prevent misuse. Well, I guess Hyperion thought differently... Lone-Wanderer 16:15, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Cupid

Make war, not love!

S&S Munitions - Semi automatic sniper rifle - Cupid - Make war, not love! Every shot fired from this weapon has the chance to temporarily charm enemies and turn them against each other. This effect does not work against bosses however. Referencing Destroy All Human's (video game) motto - Make war, not love! A Lonely Nomad 18:55, April 25, 2010

An alternate idea for this concept would be to make "Cupid" a Skill for Lillith. The percentage chance to charm enemies and/or duration of charm would be determined by how many Skill Points are attributed to the Skill. Fryguy42 21:51, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Medusa

Freeze! Don't move!

Atlas - Medusa - Freeze! Don't move! - Referencing the Gorgon medusa and her ability to turn people to stone.

The gun will come with x3 or x4 corrosive and a near 100% chance to (for want of a better word) splat. Also has the chance to stun an enemy, and as the red text suggests, completely immobilise him. However the said enemy would still be able to you their gun and attack but only if you were within range. Has the ability to spawn with the Cyclops scope. By the way sorry for not making a new section but I am a wikipedia noob and I don't know how. A Lonely Nomad 19:34, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

Famine

You miss, you don't eat!

Jacobs - One-Shot Sniper Rifle

The name flavor text references an old hunters saying when muskets were prevelent, so if you missed on the first shot, you most likely went hungry that day.

The damage should be extreme, probably 700, but only an iron sight(Like Whitting's Elephant Gun) and 75 accuracy. Also the gun should have a 10 second reload! *GASP*

If the red text is about not missing, shouldn't the accuracy be 100? GnarlyToaster 15:46, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Head Hunter

Wave goodbye to yer 'ead, wanker!

type- probably Jakobs

headshot- 500% bonus damage

non head shot- -250% damage (never negative but it makes it only good for head shots)

base scope- 4.5x mag

damage- around 500

base accuracy- 98-99% (this is for getting those head shots)

magazine- 1-2 rounds

reload time- 3 sec

fire rate- 1.0 (always 1.0)

1/8th movement speed, or else none at all while weapon is in equiped, or else have when scoped no movement at all. This is when someone who has no idea what a sniper rifle is is told how to use one. the quote makes this the perfect gun for sniping, but also very bad any other type of shot.... the no movement makes it harder to be a good counter snipe weapon, but its silent so no opponents can tell where the shot came from. its a quote from the sniper from team fortress. Head Crusher

I'm crushing your head...

Sniper Rifle. Reference to the "Kids in the Hall" where one of the characters crushed peoples heads from a distance with his fingers. High power sniper rifle with great damage and high accuracy with sway and recoil reduction. somewhere around 3.0 zoom. +200% Crit damage. No element. Perhaps Hyperion for company. Survivor

Risin' Up...

This is an obvious reference to the song Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. In the song he is trying to hunt and survive, so this is where the effect comes in. It will make the user 50% faster and have health regen based on the level (Not useless like the Atlas Troll though). It is a Vladof because its orange like a tiger and the increased fire rate will help you SURVIVE! It should have average stats of a sniper: No more than 1400 damage at lvl 61, anywhere from .5-1.5 fire rate and anywhere from 95-98.7 accuracy. It cannot be elemental, considering the effect will be the accessory. GT:BORK13

The Harbinger

I am the harbinger of death

this is a sniper with al of your ammo in the mag (120 if you have all the upgrades) but an absurdly slow fire rate like -10 if thats wven possible otherwise itd have to be.00000001 or something but it does 6000 dmg or a one shot kill the fire rate would be absurdly low also and the accuracy would be like 20. the effect works on bosses but the damage is lowered significantly (about 1000 to 2500)

the reference is to the famous quote I am the Harbinger of Death, The destroyer of worlds.

and it could also be a reference to ratchet and clank's harbinger weapon.

Closest quote to that is "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds"
it was in a religious text originally, but was used again to describe the feelings of one of the scientists involved in the first nuclear bomb.

"I am become death" was a challenge in borderlands.... so that won't work.

MK-5 Mach Cannon

Boom, headshot.

Jakobs sniper-rifle. Does 3000 damage per shot with instant kills on critical hits (note: this doesn't work against Crawmerax). Only has one bullet per clip and a 30 second reload time. Miss, and you'll be sorry. Also has 200% accuracy with bullet penetration. Reference to Team Fortress 2 Meet the Sniper trailer. Has a 6.7 times weapon zoom (HOLY CRAP!) and the sight has a laser sight built into it.

13ET-1K Risk Taker

Shootin' some craps

Jakobs sniper rifle that does about 1000 damage, it has a +300% critical hit damage, accuracy is 94, 6 bullets on one clip and a 5 second reload speed. Has a 3.6 weapon zoom, and a fire rate of 1. The thing is, for every critical hit, you get 1,000$ but for every hit that isn't critical, you lose 1,000$. Red text 'Shooting craps' means gambling. Note also that 13ET-1K looks like Bet 1K.

Rocket Launchers

Fireworks

Size matters!

Maliwan rocket launcher, high damage, low acc, mag size 3 and one shot uses all. Can come with 4x Indencary or not, and the rocket could fly like RPG, no one knows, where it hits. Red text effect from [Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor]. -Sinister5310 19:25, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Black Hole Sun

Won't you come?

Torgue rocket launcher. 2 shots per clip, fire rate .2, int. hit 400-500 dmg, 79.4 acc, may come with 1x scope. 3x fire dmg. Upon contact with enemy, ground, etc. weapon will create a solid black sphere with fire shooting out of it like solar flames. It creates suction and will suck in all nearby enemies. Anyone in a 15 foot radius takes 20 dmg/s. Weapon is reference to the song Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden. Gamepro224 ~ Your resident no-life gamer 15:25, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

Tangent Seeker

Where'd it go?

Hyperion Rocket launcher. Will always have a 3 shot mag, always comes with open sights, never a helix barrel. Has a chance to come with elemental effect. It comes with a 0.0 accuracy, odd for a hyperion, but in fact it will never miss a shot. Each shot fired will fly straight out of the barrel, and travel for a couple dozen in game feet, before coming to a stop and hovering there, taking the appearence of a drone like the Lance drone in DLC3. It will hover for about a minute before self-destructing, but while hovering, a ring will appear around it (the higher the material grade, the larger the ring). Once an enemy steps into this ring, the drone will explode, and several smaller missles will fly towards the enemy (if multiple, all rockets will target the biggest threat). If the rocket is fired and there is an enemy already close enough, it will explode like the drone and send the missles at target.

The name comes from the fact that the rocket will fire off missles off at a target at a completely different angle from the trajectory it was fired, as well as seek out and hit a target, without fail.

If someone can come up with a better name and flavor text, be my guest. I had the idea, but couldnt think of anything for the name. Lone-Wanderer 20:54, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

Vexen's Pride

I came to lend you a hand...

Is a reference to the Kingdom Heart series character Vexen. The quote is one of his most notable ones: "I came to lend you a hand. You obviously believe this Sora has much potential, but I remain unconvinced he is truly worth such coddling. I think an experiment would show if he really is of any value to us." In the name, his weapon of choice, a shield, is named Frozen Pride.

This rocket launcher is Maliwan-made. It has a capacity of 10, slow reload and fire rate and 0% accuracy, and when shot, it shoots a few dozen rockets that form a giant shield that is stationary as soon as it leaves the barell, using all 10 rounds in 1 shot (much in the shape of this). If a bullet(s) hits a rocket making up the shield, the rocket will lock on to the target and shoot itself towards the target. Also, multiple bullets = multiple rockets; for example, if 2 bullets are shot from a Double Anarchy and 6 hit, 6 rockets will aim for the target. Each rocket does 450-500 damage and is 100% Shock x3-4. These rockets will also have a 100% chance of stunning the enemy.

Any comments/ideas would be appreciated :)

CO-13 Conduit

(Quote coming soon)

The title is a reference to the SuckerPunch game InFamous (CO-13 = Cole, the main character) and the quote will be too, just looking for one. Anyway, this Rocket Launcher, probably a Maliwan, will have high damage, extremely high RoF (for a Rocket Launcher) and low accuracy, and always x4 shock. The special ability will be, the rockets fired by this weapon can be redirected by any other shock weapon. This is like an attack in InFamous where you can fire rockets, then make them home in on enemies by using a different attack. Any quotes you may come up with would be appreciated. PD025 Lightning Mouse

Pika Pi, PikaCHU!

or

We're blasting off again!

A somewhat obvious reference if you had a childhood with pokemon lol. Damage, about 2000ish, accuracy: idk, whatever you guys think, fire rate : 1.5 with 1 round but high reload speed. The additional effect would be that it launches any enemy in its direct blast radius into the air, the height depending on how close they were to the center of the explosion. I think it'd just be fun to see enemies get launched lol -Mellodious

A1 "Nam-Zuni" Sky Raider

'Cause Napalm sticks to Skags!

A1skyRaiderNapalm

What, weapons and no war references? Here you go: essentially a "Roaster" at ground level (2 shot mag default), but when you point it at the ground, the launcher flips. When you fire, the round stays in the launcher and carries you to a height of about 100 feet. Wings deploy which allow you to fly "sort of" (more control than a sky diver...you'll need a half decent shield to avoid death). The altimeter in the launcher converts the firing mode to "Zuni" which fires 33 small, high speed explosive, fuel-oil bomblets in a shotgun spray pattern.

The war/conflict? Vietnam: Zuni's where unguided air-to-ground rockets. The A1 "Sky Raider" was a prop-driven plane used as a SANDY SAR

(search and rescue missions) and an awesome Napalm platform. Finally, in the movie, "An Officer and a Gentlmen," Louis Ggossett Jr., who played

the lead "gunny," sang a cadence call with the chorus, "Cause Napalm sticks to kids." — TV's FrankTvsFrank2Wordpress shovelBoston globe bullhorn

The Force

I have a bad feeling about this...

This rocket launcher, an obvious reference to Star Wars, has a 4x shock effect (a reference to Force Lightning), and on explosion, it will send enemies flying backwards (a la Force Push). If they are sent off a cliff or into a wall fast enough, they can be damaged. Ooh, another idea (Although I doubt this can work with the engine): if fired at an elemental barrel, instead of blowing it up, it will send it flying towards the nearest enemy and explode. Jedibob5 01:12, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

Shouldn't be a problem. I've seen user-created DLC that utilized moveable barrels, floor plates, fences, etc. Come to think of it, if somebody can do that on their home pc I'm really not sure why Gearbox didn't include moveable objects. Ah, well. Maybe on BL2. (and dual wielding, and better inventory sorting... Like my 8th grade teacher, Mr. K. liked to say, "if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.") SPRTN-III Eternal

Die? Didn't you know... Spartans never die!

A reference to the Halo books, Ghosts of Onyx, near the very end when Kurt sacrifices himself to destroy the covenant that invade Onyx while the other spartans, dr. halsey and srgnt martinez escape into the impenetrable onyx shield world thingy. High damage, perhaps somewhere around 5000-10000, (btw i have a non-modded rocket launcher that does 10,000 damage that i got from a chest, so i dont think it's too powerful), low accuracy, with a decent fire rate. I'm thinking something like 10 rounds and it shoots 5 rounds at a time making a huge blast radius. but the bonus effect would be that if you fire the rocket launcher at your feet, it doesnt hurt you. Let me know what you think. -Mellodious (PSN)

Ragnarok

The gods will fall

A Torgue rocket launcher. The text references ragnarok, the final battle in norse mythology where the gods were said to all die. It has the stats of a regular rocket laucher, but with the mag size and fire rate of a combat rife. Why you ask? BECAUSE IT SHOOTS BULLETS. It has a x4 exsplosive element, scope, and high elemental chance. Just wanted to make a weird gun.

Fat Boy

I just want to set the world on fire...

A Launcher which holds only one rocket per magazine, but possesses enormous firepower and blast radius in excess of even the Redemption; a level 61 version would do 9000 per shot. This is offset by the small magazine and a long reload time of at around five seconds to balance its absurd destruction. Fires a slow-moving projectile in an arcing trajectory similar to the Leviathan, but with slower speed and a faster rate of descent due to gravity, which limits its range considerably. Explosive element, but generates a mushroom cloud similar to that on The Roaster, but much larger. Enemies killed in the blast are vaporized entirely, and those near the edge are stunned for a short period of time. Title is in reference to the Little Boy and Fat Man atomic bombs dropped during WWII. Red text is a pun on the song "I don't Want to Set the World on Fire" with the lyrics "I just want to be the one you love". This is also the theme song of Fallout 3, which featured the similar "Fat Man Tactical Nuclear Catapult" as one of its signature weapons, which could pretty much kill most anything in one hit. G14NT Ymir

Eats their hearts out

Helix Rocket Launcher +25% Accuracy, Very High Elemental Chance, +300% Burst fire, +100% Fire Rate. Always comes with a 3 round magazine.

Always a Helix, Prefix comes from accessory, comes with x3-x4 proc of explosive on card, but in reality but the helix is made of an incendiary rocket, a shock rocket, and a corrosive rocket. The Helix is much tighter in the grouping as well, as the rockets fire in a pattern as small as a soccer ball.

The Frost Giant Ymir's heart is what the world is made out of in Norse Mythology, and so the flavor text references this with a twist that Ymir will eat the enemies hearts. As he is what the world is made out of, it's only fair that all the elements are on the weapon. The burst fire is to remove the targeting possibilities, as well as increase the pain. The Fire rate is so the weapon fires relatively faster so the buck is more manageable though. The Accuracy is increased to help the grouping as well.

Earthshaker

Rocks your world around

Single-shot (See notes) Rocket Launcher that fires a slower projectile than typical launchers (Think Redemption), which upon striking an object the rocket releases ten micro-rockets followed by a large, devastating explosion, the micro-rockets scatter from their point of origin and seek out whatever targets they can find, with damage properties similar to the primary rocket. This weapon would be used as an end-all device for dire situations, and being caught in its wake would likely result in the bleed-out sequence.

This weapon refers to the Earthshaker Missile from Descent 2, the kill-all weapon of the game, as its host missile alone was immensely powerful, with the swarm of micro-missiles it unleashed being no weaker than their host. The flavor text hints at the effect of the Earthshaker's warheads as they explode - the entire mine shaking as if the world was hit by a massive earthquake.

Notes:

  • By single-shot, the launcher actually has a ten round magazine, but the ten rounds are consumed to produce the one rocket. This plays at the rarity of Descent 2's Earthshakers and how the Pyro-GX (If not upgraded) could only hold ten of these missiles.

What Doesn't Kill'em, makes 'em Deader.

The namesake for the weapon is the Wheel of Times indestructible material known as Cuendillar, which when struck by anything, makes it tougher, which leads to the red texts subversion of the classic phrase, with a twist. The weapon itself looks like an alien revolver, with an odd blade attachment. The weapon is black and white, an oddity of its' own. Each hit on an enemy gets stronger by the amount of shots the target has already absorbed, within a time limit. The weapon has another special that kicks in when you kill an enemy, which is increased recharge on the weapon. The weapon would likely be pearlescent or orange, with a base damage of about 300~damage.

How about naming it the "YFF1 Coin?" It would be a reference to Final Fantasy VII and my favorite ninja, Yuffi. Her upgraded "Throw" materia gave her the "Coin" ability allowing her to throw gil to damage enemies. (Wow, researching that really took me back. :D ) Fryguy42 16:53, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

The Bahamut

Breaks Damage Limit

Eridian. A reference to the boss/summon Bahamut from final fantasy. The gun has a long recharge time, but shoots a laser that make a large explosion when it hits, doing damage to whatever is caught in the blast. Decent power (around 460) and good accuracy, but long recharge time. ~Omegaironman

The Plumbob

Why do I feel a strange compulsion to do whatever he tells me to?

A Eridian rifle that has a 75% chance of having the opponent shot turn and attack his allies. Gun is a slightly green color, and has a 30% chance of coming with a scope. The gun and flavor text come from the Sims series of games.

Austin

Activate the "laser"

Eridian - Blaster - Austin - Red text Activate the "laser" - Extremely high recharge and damage. If you can't work out the reference you have a crap taste in movies. A Lonely Nomad 16:48, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, JUST got that. =D Had to go in and tweak the flavor text header accordingly. Fryguy42 22:04, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

why not call it the "Douglas" which references the main character's brother. Let's just say he was "evil" Mazman1521 00:49, May 16, 2010 (UTC)

001101 Necro Blaster

You keep what you kill

This Eridian handgun is inspired by the gravity-based weaponry used by the Necromongers in the final installment of the Riddick Trilogy, The Chronicles of Riddick. The Necro's used, among other incredibly effective weapons, a hand-held pistol-like firearm that shot a single blast of energy that, upon impact, blasted the target back several yards and made the victim severely "life-challenged." The Necro Blaster will emit a white ball larger than that emitted by a Ball Blaster but much smaller than that of a Cannon. The gun will shoot a projectile that will have a velocity similar to that of a Ball Blaster, a RoF of around 1.5, and fire 4 shots before cooldown. In keeping with the Necromonger weapons, the Necro Blaster will have a 100% chance for knock-back similar to that of a shotgun. Fryguy42 04:24, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

The Beam Cannon/The Aran Cannon

Made for the real bounty hunters

Basically it is an Eridian cannon that alternatively shoots explosive, electric or fire munitions per trigger pull. Each munition travel alot faster than the original cannon, but slower than normal bullets. It has a relatively slow RoF, like 0.5, maybe less but deal a massive amount of damage, without any splash of course. The clip is fast charging to put up with the slow RoF. This is, of course, a reference to our beloved bounty hunter Samus Aran and to her hand cannon with multiple elemental beams Valtiell 01:17, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

METRIOD PRIME FTW! A Lonely Nomad 17:47, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

010110 Photon Maser

Set phasers to "kill"

This Eridian handgun is a tribute to Gene Roddenberry and his genre-defining 'Star Trek' series. According to the production notes to the original Star Trek series the Phaser was a PHoton mASER, since at the time of the writing the Laser was a relative unknown. Masers, on the other hand were already powerful machines which produced very destructive radiation pulses.

The Photon Maser is a scope-less handheld Eridian weapon capable of firing in two modes: a single press of the trigger fires an energy burst that will stun an enemy. A sustained trigger pull will fire a continuous energy pulse with a hidden 4x incendiary effect. The resulting burning mechanic already in the game will simulate the Phaser's ability to completely disintegrate a target. It will have a moderate magazine, similar to an Eridian Blaster, and an extended cooldown. This weapon will be handy for crowd control and to wear down Badasses and Bosses. Fryguy42 16:37, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

N1N Vampire

When you bite the hand that feeds you...

  • Eridian. Instead of using energy as ammo, it drains health from you. The damage you receive should be a precise number per level of the gun so that higher health means more ammo. As a result, the gun never needs to reload... as long as your still alive (if you would be at less then 1 health after it shoots, it will equate to being out of ammo and will not fire, meaning you cannot die from shooting the gun alone).
  • Shoots 2 bullets every round, always in a horizontal spread, with a red and white smoke trail (resembling something like vampires teeth flying through the air). Each bullet that hits an enemy for regular bullet damage will grant you health equal to the life lost as a result of firing the gun, (This means, if you hit an enemy, but the damage is completely or partially resisted, (ie. Lance Defender's shield,) it will heal you very little or not at all. If you critical, it will heal for more. As well, on average, if you hit with both bullets, it will net heal you from firing the gun).
  • It can come with a scope. If it has a scope it will have accuracy, damage and fire rate similar to a sniper rifle and the shots fired follow a closely parallel flight path. If it doesn't have a scope, it will either behave silimar to a combat rifle, with increased fire rate, but less damaging and less accurate, or like a shotgun, with a similar fire rate, increased damage and a wider spread, (but again, the more damage this gun deals, the more damage you take as a result of firing it and the less "ammo" you'll have to use).
  • The model for the gun should appear to have two tendrils going into the players arm.

The pop culture reference is to the song The Hand That Feeds - Nine Inch Nails, both in the flavor text and in the model number. Blastoderm 02:57, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

BFG 9000

Now that's a big ****ing gun!

Inspired by Doom Eridian Cannon similar to the 110100010 type with a massive green slow moving shot that has a huge splash damage and does a huge amount of damage. faster than normal recharge rate similar to an Eridian Lightning and has the seeking capability off the oringal pew pew pew Eridian Blaster. Always activating corrosive damage similar to the Defiler Revolver. BigSkagHunter 21:02, May 7, 2010 (UTC)

Damn, why didn't I think of this? Excellent idea there. Skeve613 15:05, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Too bad the BFG9000 doesn't have seeking plasma. And something more like the Quake II BFG10K would be better, with the beams spewing from the ball attacking everything in its path. :P SpootKnight 15:20, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

I also think BFG10K would be better. Or, I think, we could use BFG from Quake III Arena/QuakeLive. There's BFG shoots fasters plasma, so it's more dangerous gun.

PS. You stole my idea! MY IDEA FOR THIS BIG F***ING GUN!! ARGH! DJKacPL wants blood! 17:09, May 28, 2010 (GTM +1)

6231989 Shrink Ray

Honey, I Shrunk the...(SPLAT!)

Would be a big weapon held on shoulder like launcher. Would only be able to fire one shot before depleted and would take a good30-60 sec to recharge, shot would be a lazer type graphic that would stay on for roughly 3 seconds (you could not stop it from lasting 3 seconds). All enemies hit with the beam would be miniturized and could be walked on and squished, It would not work on bosses, baddasses would shrink just not as tiny as others and could not be squishes although their HP would be reduced by half. Also if you shrunk say a bandit near a gruop of skags the skags could run up and eat the bandits. you would also be able to shrink vehicle which means you could shoot a vehicle thats about to run over you and then watch it crash on your feet.71.248.118.201 12:51, June 8, 2010 (UTC)Eatingleg4peanut

Grenade Mods

Vortex

You now what? I don't wanna dip my balls in it!

The quote is a reference to the 1993 MTV show The State, which in some of the skits a guy names Louie goes around asking what people have and saying "I WANNA DIP MY BALLS IN IT" or also see here.

This Atlas-made grenade mod acts like a standard MIRV at first, but the 4 smaller grenades go much farther away from each other and after a second or 2 start to swirl around like a tornado, making a vortex that sucks enemies into the center and then explodes. ParadiseNigh 21:29, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

Pipe Bomb

What is that mysterious ticking noise?

Grenade mod - Pipe bomb - What is that mysterious ticking noise?

This grenade mod has the highest damage and blast radius in the game. Referencing the parody of Harry Potter, Potter Puppet Pals. In one spoof the whole group starts singing along to mysterious ticking noise before Ron reveals it is a pipe bomb, blowing them all up. A Lonely Nomad 20:06, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Couldve made it like left for dead where the pipe bombs attracts enemies =)

-that would be cool, but it should not attract humans (imo) but would attract skags, spiderants, bugs and of course zombies.

Molotov

Forward, comrades!

Alright, here's something I think has never been covered- a legendary grenade mod. This would work in a similar way to a contact grenade, in that it activates on the the first thing it touches. Could be House, rock, bandit, whatever. Besides doing extreme fire damage with a large splash radius, it the flames would also stick around wherever they originally were for quite a while, making this extremely effective at blocking paths. Gunslinga 21:35, April 25, 2010 (UTC)Gunslinga

According to Gunslinga's original post this grenade mod is manufactured by Vladov. (I removed the manufacturer's name from the title header for continuity's sake.) Also, I'd love to see this mod come in corrosive as well since I just get a kick out of watching the baddies melt. :D Fryguy42 22:40, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

The Tesla Field Generator

You're just a giant wireless lightbulb!

This is a grenade mod that work a lot like the bouncing bettie, but show no explosion, without sound or anything. whenever an ennemy step withing the range, he get shocked until he goes out or the timer runs out, in fact this grenade put a electric field for a few seconds (5 or 6 seconds) instead of exploding. This is a reference to the Tesla field from nicola tesla. This field is the electromagnetic lines that come from a magnet and once brought to a proper strenght it can activate simple electric apparatus like a lightbulb (you ought to have seen at least once in your life a giant wireless lightbulb standing upright on a non-metallic surface and still be lit). Valtiell 01:17, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Zero G

An apple a day...

A unique effect grenade mod, it causes the grenade to do ZERO damage, but makes up for it by have a large area of effect. If it does no damage, what is the AoE for? Well, instead of damaging enemies, it will instead causes a huge (the area of effect) gravitational anomaly which cancles out pandora's gravitational pull. The result: Normal Enemies caught in the Zero G blast range will become wieghtless and float in the air, unable to use their weapons or anything, while badass humanoid enemies can still shot at you, and bosses are un-affected. A bonus is that non-badass enemies will be extremly weak in the field, thus should only take a few shot to kill from even weak repeater pistols; also, when the field gives way and the enemies are eaffected by gravity again, both normal and badass will suffer fall damage from hitting the ground. The grenade only affects enemies that are in the blast radius at detenation, and not enemies that enter afterwards.

Like the Mac Daddy, named after Newton, and his theory of gravity (or to be exact, the lack therof). The text is based off of the apple falling from the tree and hitting Newton, starting his lifes work. Ironic that an "apple" will completely negate his theory... Lone-Wanderer 20:18, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

The Saboteur

Spy sappin' mah sentry!

A unique variant on Shock grenades optimized for use against machines. Like a sticky grenade, it will attach to any enemy it impacts, inflicting shock damage over time. It also creates a very limited field of effect around its point of detonation. What really makes this mod unique, however (and which shows I didn't copy Valtiell's Tesla Field Generator) is that when used against mechanized enemies (Scorpios, Drones, Vehicles), it not only does vastly increased damage and has a longer duration, but incapacitates the opponent in question for the duration of its effect, rendering both movement and weapons systems completely inert. The title is a reference to Team Fortress 2, which featured an Electro Sapper which Spies could use to inflict similarly debilitating effects on the equipment of enemy engineers... including sentries of course! The red text is a direct quote from TF2 as well. Skeve613 15:57, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

Holy Hand Grenade

(One Two Five I mean THREE!!!)

I dont know how to add any new lines or names or anythign being new to borderlands wiki but i have an idea for a legendary greanade mod that follows with the Worms Armageddon thing. Please fix my post to be an actual post so it fits with the others here.

The Holy Hand Grenade, Longbow. i wonder why no one thought of this before. It drops your grenade's down to you only having one, but it changes the look of the grenade to either the holy hand grenade exactly or to adding a tiny cross on the top of the grenade. When you throw it it does the normal longbow thing but only halfway because of the weight of the grenade, being all eight grenades in one, meaning when it explodes it covers most of the screen in the wake and has an extremly high damage ratio. Possible things to make it not so overpowerd would be to negate any soldier healing aspect and it can then kill your friends if your not careful or the longbow effect is even shorter, or doesnt exsist at all being such a heavy grenade. Also upon count down reaching zero it plays the Halleluja! from the halleluja chorus and then explodes being a reference to worms, and a double reference to Monty Python. Levitcustribe, xbox 360 unfortunatly, also i cant type as it seems

Monty Python was first in using the Holy Hand Grenade, so if anything Worms would be the second reference, to be more exact, it's third, Fallout 2 used it before Worms. SpootKnight 14:48, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

For flavor text, how about "One...Two...FIVE!"? SapphireSoldierForte 17:16, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

BTW, Its One, Two, Four I mean THREE
Wrong, the whole set of that quote is "One...two...FIVE!" "Three sir!" "THREE!" As for flavor text, how about "Consult the Book of Armaments!" SpootKnight 05:14, May 2, 2010 (UTC)
The txt could be RUN AWAY like in worms
Whoever put up "BTW, Its One, Two, Four I mean THREE" has never seen Monty Python & the Holy Grail. If they have, they have terrible memory. :P

Boomer Puke

Throwin' a bile bomb!

This grenade mod doesn't actually cause damage, but instead it attracts enemies and enemy fire. For example, midgets and skags will run to the site of the bile bomb and attempt to find their target. Any enemies with weapons will fire at the spot of the bile bomb. If a bile bomb lands on an enemy, that enemy is "marked". All others will begin gunning for him (note: this would only work against enemies of the same level). It won't really have any affect on bosses seeing as they are much tougher than normal enemies. If you don't know the reference, get off your ass and play Left 4 Dead 2. Seriously.

Snuke

Aim for the snizz!

I don't know if it's completely appropriate, but I figured one South Park reference on here just wasn't enough. If you wanted to clean it up, you could call it a Tactical Fission Grenade Mod or something like that. Essentially the idea is a grenade mod that's a hybrid of The Roaster effect and the Redemption effect. Eats a big chunk (at low levels, probably all) of your grenade supply, simple thrown grenade, massive damage within large blast radius. Maybe make it an Orange rarity grenade mod. And maybe make the throw distance almost equal to the blast radius, so you have to throw it and run the other way.. WhackyGordon 21:45, June 23, 2010 (UTC)

Shields

Juggernaut

I'm the Juggernaut...

Time for legendary shield now.

Pangolin - Juggernaut - DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM! - Referencing the juggernaut from X-men. He was incredibly strong, basically a meat covered tank. At one point he gets stuck in the floor by one of the "good" mutants. He screams, "Don't you know who I am? I'm the juggernaut Bitch!" and smahs the floor open. The effect is that all bullet damage to the vault hunter is reduced by half. However, elemental attacks, melee, and falling will still inflict the same amount of damage. A Lonely Nomad 17:10, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

If you are making this a refernce to X-Men three then this would be the second refernce made to that quote. It oringally came from a video on you tube put out many years ago. It featured the orginally X-Men cartoon with a few guys doing dubs over the orginal voices. The video featured the Juggernaut himself and his favorite phrase was of course "I'm the Juggernaut Bitch." If you want to watch the video just look up I'm the Juggernaut Bitch on you Tube. -Anonymous.

Bellerophon

Chimera? What Chimera?

This wiki started out as a New Legendary "Weapons" Ideas forum, but A Lonely Nomad is right: Guns wouldn't be worth jack without shields. So...the Hyperion Bellerophon shield. Bellerophon was the legendary mortal Greek hero that slew the three-headed monster, the Chimera. The Atlas Chimera revolver shoots alternating corrosive, fire, and shock bullets. To counter this, the Hyperion corporation has created the Bellerophon shield. This shield will have corrosive, fire, and shock resistance and will emit an alternating corrosive, fire, and shock Burst, Wave, or Nova depending on the type.

Keep the weapon ideas coming B'Landers, but start thinking about Legendary shield and class mod ideas.

Gump

Run Forrest!

Sidenote: First name I could come up with, open to suggestions.

This shield is more unique compared to others in such as unlike other shield types which offer elemental resistance, this shield gives the wearer a feeling of being less burdened by the weight they carry, allowing a slightly higher movement speed. The shield itself has a higher recharge rate than most but in turn has a lower capacity than standard sheild of similar level.

Obvious reference to Forrest Gump, noted for scenes in which he runs endlessly. SpootKnight 05:10, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

The Farragut

Damn the torpedoes!

Shield with massively increased resistance to explosive damage, from grenade, launchers, barrels, mines, etc. Title and quote in reference to Admiral David Farragut, commander of the Union naval forces during the Battle of New Orleans in the American Civil War, when the Union navy successfully pushed through a mine field to capture the city.

Skeve613 18:25, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

MJOLNIR

A 1000lbs ass-kicking!

A unique shield, it increases a character's amount of health by about 40% of base sum, and has a insanly fast recharge time to make up for the low shield power (about 250). Has the additional effect of dealing shock damage when depleted, as well as when enemy is struck by melee weapon (even if you're not using a shock artifact, so if using explosive, would deal both explosive and shock). Has a major disadvantage of slowing running and melee speed by about 50%.

Name is based off of the Spartan powered armor, the MJOLNIR, which wieghs about a half ton, the shock effect is based off of the Hammer of Thor, which is called MJOLNIR (though it can be spell differently), Thor was the god of thunder. Lone-Wanderer 19:41, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

For the low capacity to work, the Recharge would have to be almost instant, and the rate to be like 500 or something. Cause most enemies cause alot more than ~250 per shot Maybe like 500 for level 61? GnarlyToaster 01:17, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

You could fudge the numbers to make it work, I just said something I thought was low... Lone-Wanderer 15:54, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

Class Mods

The Drake

O+, please

Anshin class Mod, it will come with stats of any form of class mod. Its specialty is that when ever you score a critical hit on an enemy, you gain a protion of your health back in relation to the amount of damage dealt. If you kill an enemy with a critical, your health will be maxed out, despite how ever much health your character was at.

The name comes from the movie Blade Trinity, Dracula is actually a Babylonian ruler who is awakened in the movie, and is referred to as Drake.

The text comes from the fact that O blood type can be used by anyone, unlike A or B, which can only be given to A or B patients, and AB, which can only give blood to AB patients. O simple works here. Lone-Wanderer 19:57, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

This should be O- because the + or - is talking about Rh factor. If you give O+ to a patient without Rh factor, it WILL kill them.

One Man Army

Army of One

Anshin - Survivor - Army of One Decreases the cooldown of your action skill by 70% when equipped, and stacks with any skills/mods. A Lonely Nomad 20:07, April 25, 2010 (UTC) Referencing the video game Army of Two.

They all ready have a class mod that decreases the cooldown of your action skill its called the catalyst class mod and its for the siren.

Sorry meant 70% and catalyst is siren only this is for everyone. A Lonely Nomad 17:32, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

"Army of One" is more of a reference to the US Army who used this slogan. and Im not sure but I think the Army of Two was playing off of that US Army slogan changing one to two because of the co-op. This is not fact, just my thinking. But since it was a popular Army slogan most people I beleive will think its an US Army reference rather than an Army of Two reference.

Wuss (Mordecai)

No reference, this would be similar to the Jackal but with lower fire rate and the grenades bounce one to several times judging on how many times the damage is multiplied by. Lets have a laser thats fires a harmless laser for 2-5 sec. then a really big laser comes out and obliterates everything in its path Much like the spartan laser from halo. Fires 1 bullet then energy has to recharge has massive damage like 9000-20000 radius with a super slow rate of fire.

Energy Weapon category

An idea me and a friend came up with after playing a couple hours of Fallout 3. The E. Weapon category is basically the alien weapon category, except instead of the weapons being made by the Edarian (or however their name is spelled), they are made by human manufacturers. The alien weapon proficiency becomes the energy weapon proficiency, and both E. weapons and alien weapons are umbrella-ed under it. E. Weapons would function in a similar sense to alien, they have recharging mags, they will either have a larger charge capicity compared too alien weapons, or do more damage.

There is several weapon types: Pistol, shotgun, rifle (both semi & auto), sniper, and a special super energy cannon (think something along the lines of a Spartan laser) The weapon types will be determined by the body & barrel.

Figured the etcetera section would be a good place for this... Lone-Wanderer 00:30, May 3, 2010 (UTC)

Brings to mind the Lancer in DLC3, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. In Knoxx The Crimson Lance has gotten their hands on Eridian technology. The Lancer utilizes Eridian technology that has been adapted to a Hyperion (?) vehicle and Hyperion makes weapons for The Lance.... Maybe this is material for DLC 4 or BL2: Hyperion energy weapons..... Fryguy42 00:55, May 3, 2010 (UTC)

Notes

  • I sent the link to this wiki to SCole, the Gearbox developer responsible for New Haven and who maintained a presence on the hidden basement forum. I'll keep you all posted on anything I may hear back from the folks at GBX. Fryguy42 16:30, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

  • A copy of my letter to Gearbox directing their attention to this forum is now available for viewing on the discussion page. Fryguy42 01:11, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

  • Don't fret if you aren't familiar with editing wiki's. I'm barely a "noob-level" editor myself. (it took me 6 tries to get this edit to stick. O_o ) Just keep the great ideas coming and I'll handle the boring details. Also, include as much detail as possible. I'm worried that my header translations don't always reflect the contributor's original idea. Shoot me a message if I get it wrong. Fryguy42 16:58, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

  • If you find your idea listed under Etcetera instead of where you feel it should be it is because your post lacked sufficient information, e.g. weapon type, flavor text, or reference. Drop me a note on my Talk page or post an edit with the details and your post will be placed where it belongs. Fryguy42 21:51, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

  • Have a suggestion? Want to tell me how I'm doing or what a douche I am? LoL Hit me up on User talk:Fryguy42. Thanks, all! Fryguy42 20:57, May 2, 2010 (UTC)
