I think it looks pretty good. It looks like you are like me in preferring pistols to sniper rifles, as well as using Bloodwing. I, however, would recommend using the lethal strike skill. With this build you'll have to get close to your enemies, so a powerful melee can be rather useful. If you get the really big bonus, you can take out most raiders in 1-3 hits.

But Mordecai is very frail, his bones snap like twigs. His health is a laughing matter, therefore, healing is a pretty good trait to have.

Swipe and Ransack are neat for low levels but you'll be quick to find that you mostly just get cash (health vials for Circle of Death/Slaughter). By the time you reach the upper levels, Focus and Killer will be more useful. With a Tough Guy shield and a Survivor mod, health will rarely be an issue. IMO, Bloodwing (and Turret for Solider) are a crutch and, as your skill increases, you'll find you rarely need them. MeMadeIt 23:49, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

I agree, the bloodwing is horribly underpowered and far too short range to be effective later in the game and also the stupid Hunter mod gives you Out for Blood when , blatantly, you wanted Bird of Prey! DaleGK 23:09, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

I recommend getting yourself Fast Hands. It's been extremely useful to me, but I'm more of a gunslinger. Maybe I'm just weird though, since I play as Mordecai (always), but my shotgun proficiency always ends up being the highest. Very weird. - General Dripik 00:29, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

What kind of Mordecai has nothing in the sniper class, he's a sniper.:/

Sign your posts with four tildes, Mordecai is made to use Sniper rifles and Revolvers BUT he is highly effective with almost every weapon if used correctly, the only weapons I have problems killing with on my Mordecai are Launchers and Eridian weapons. DaleGK 23:13, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

Technically, he's a sharpshooter. In his bio, he won a contest with a revolver when everyone else was using sniper rifles. You should put something in relentless, if you plan on using pistols a lot. The recoil reduction and damage bonus are both very good.

???? Relentless doesn't give you either of those things! DaleGK 23:13, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

Just a side note: I don't really notice any difference in weapon effectiveness between the characters. An SMG is an SMG is an SMG. Not counting talents such as Tresspass or Relentless, with equal Proficiency levels, I find each weapon just as effective regardless of which character is using it. MeMadeIt 23:30, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

The characters were built to be specialised with different weapons however using clever skill planning to maximise non weapon specific bonuses you can make effective builds with various weapons that the skills were likely not intended for, for example I tried out a Brick build where I was using an explosive smg and a blast master mod. With maxed out master blaster and +4 from the mod after my first kill my fire rate raised by 108%! That coupled with bonus damage to the smg from level 5 endowed and level 8 revenge and the bonus explosive damage on the mod made him deadly and by utilising some tank skills he was pretty unstoppable. Sorry if I went a little off topic there! DaleGK 16:56, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

No Guncrazy, Relentless, Hairtrigger, Tresspass or Killer?

At low levels the bird is powerful but at high levels, if you take points out of the bird and put them in those skills you should do significantly better. MK001 07:22, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

If you use mainly pistols, i reccomend you to max the Gun Crazy Skill, it's almost like having a flat +40% Pistol/Revolver damage. Riotous Remedy is the weakest healing skill in the game (in HoT terms), and you already have Out For Blood covering your healing needs. These 5 points are better in Lethal Strike for emergency melee (and the extra damage kicks in quite often). Moreover, if you aren't farming for loot, i think you can skip Swipe and Ransack, and put points in Focus (great for sniping with every scoped weapon) and Killer. (This works great with a Hunter Class Mod, Blood wing out every 7 o 4 seconds!!)

Well I highly reccomend taking off 5 from ransack, and putting it on focus, because it REALLY helps trust me,you dont have to do this but you might want to try to put some more points on the sniper tree so you can max out trespass. Why? because alien bad guy have a big shield and low health so if you max out tresspass you wont have to EVER worry about shields, how awsome is that???????? And you dont really need predator because if you put it on carrison call, you just have to HIT the guy like 4 times and it will be back.

" Don't run, You will only Die Tired "

This Character is a sniper, Period, gunslinger class mods, sure, I understand where the gunners come from, but if you are not adding anything to your build to support sniper you fail. As sniper is his A++ weapon. Equals he will always do more damage on a sniper then a hand gun. Doubt me? XBL Mav Zee, We will sand in front of the same mob, you kill one in the belly I will kill one in the belly. I bet my DOT and flat damage period crush you. This is not aggorgance this is confidence.

Good Luck all my fellow Borderlanders.

Not to get into a heated debate, but Mordecai is however you want to play him. I would recommend swapping Swipe and Ransack for hair Trigger and Relentless if you are focusing on Pistols. Fast hands are nice but massive RoF with make Lilith's Quick Silver Smg's Jealous. You will also need a Nice Gunslinger Mod also: Preferably High Rof and Ammo Regeneration (You will be blowing through it like crazy). My Hunter is a Hybrid of what you want and what they are saying about him being a sniper take a look: http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/Mordecai_Build:_KoUK

Best of luck and hoped it helped.
