So, I have a little bit of a question here. I currently have a Firehawk with a 4.1x scope on it, and some random Vladov sniper with a 2.7x scope. When I look down the scopes of the two guns, the sniper zooms farther than the pistol. Is that some sort of bug with the Firehawk (haven't tested with other weapons) or does the zoom multiplier actually depend on the weapon type? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.108.40.206 (talk • contribs)
The latter. Sniper rifles have a higher base zoom than other weapon types. The next time you see a sniper rifle with advertised "1.0x" zoom, take a look down its sights. Dämmerung 09:43, March 10, 2012 (UTC)
OP here. I've noticed the 1x snipers have a higher zoom. Anyone know what their base is, compared to the other guns? Kinda screws up my aiming when my 2x rifle sees right past my target when my 4.1x pistols can barely see them.
The default sniper FOV with sight1 (the least powerful scope, labeled 1.0x) is somewhere between the FOVs of a repeater with sight3 (the high-powered iron sights, labeled 3.1x) and sight4 (a telescopic sight, labeled 4.1x). Different weapon, different behavior. Dämmerung 00:10, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
Umm I have a bunch of snipers and smg's with scopes and it seems most of the smg scopes look farther than my sniper rifles. Then I figured it must be the electric scope on the smg and the sniper seems to have the reguler scope. So I guess that must be the same problem as yours, except the other way around.00:35, March 11, 2012 (UTC) Nealon The Siren
