The new DLC added a new set of Class Mods (COMs) to the game called Loyalty Mods. To my understanding, the new Loyalty Mods give bonuses to certain character classes if the character is using a weapon made by the same company. Here's an example: http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=101171 The given Jakobs loyalty mod would give +45% weapon damage to the hunter if he is using a Jakobs model weapon. Hence the "Loyalty" portion. If you remain loyal to your mod creator, you will receive the benefits of the mod... Also, one minor bug... It has been noted that due to the new patch 1.3.0, there is some conflict in the game thinking that the mods are invalid, thus removing them from the game upon exit. Hopefully this receives a patch update soon...
