Behold, the Jakobs Horse Cannon.

In current game terms, we'd call this a Pounder, which is of course the only kind of CR that Jakobs would ever manufacture, no? Fires one shot with each pull of the trigger, rather than a burst or a full-auto stream. Six shots total before reload necessary, only this thing is consuming 3 rounds at a time out of a magazine of 18, for what looks like both triple damage and triple reload time. Not sure what "Increases stability" connotes, but I'm guessing that parts on this provide some recoil reduction. Dämmerung 01:52, June 8, 2012 (UTC)

extended reload time. well, it would take a long time to load a horse into the magazine, especially if the horse didn't want to go.

anybody? no? anywho, if jakobs guns "fire as fast as you can pull the trigger" why is there a RoF on the item card? even pounders had a cool down. methinks gearbox doth protest too much.

"Fast as you can pull the trigger" seems to be BL2's wordy item card description of a semi-auto weapon. Kind of the way every damned incendiary weapon in BL1 had to waste a line on the card reminding you that it cooked flesh reeeeeal gooood. I am also led to believe that in BL2, Jakobs weapons will have high RoFs like that eight dot something on the Horse Cannon. They're still always semi-auto, but now they're fast firing like Chuck Connors' tricked-out lever-action in The Rifleman rather than the slow-firing Elefant Guns of BL1. Worth what you paid for it, but that's my understanding. Dämmerung 08:26, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah seems a little pointless to have a line telling you how fast it shoots, when you can clearly see how fast it is by looking at the RoF line. Anyway, it looks to be one of Jakob's pride and joy right there. Can I also say one more thing? That gun looks absolutely NASTY! Abyss Raider 02:05, June 10, 2012 (UTC)
