Gortys is a robot, the culmination of Atlas's ill-fated Gortys Project. She officially joins the cast of protagonists in Tales from the Borderlands during the third episode, Catch a Ride, but is found during the course of the second episode, Atlas Mugged.
Background
Gortys is a robot designed to locate, open and stabilize the Vault of the Traveler, manufactured in secret by Atlas as they were on the verge of collapse. With her additional components either scattered across Pandora or collected by Handsome Jack aboard Helios, she is initially incomplete. Despite this, she is fundamentally intact, and features a very excitable and peppy personality, even in the face of certain death.
