Borderlands Wiki and Fandom will be featuring 30 days of specially curated content to celebrate the September 13, 2019 release of Borderlands 3.

Day 1
Lilith Borderlands 3
Lilith is back in Borderlands 3, looking for new recruits for the Crimson Raiders. Their task? Investigate the mysterious Children of the Vault cult. What do you think Lilith has planned for the new recruits?
Join the discussion about Lilith here.
Day 2
Claptrap is a CL4P-TP general purpose robot manufactured by Hyperion. It has been programmed with an overenthusiastic personality, and brags frequently, yet also expresses severe loneliness and cowardice.
You look like something a skag barfed up!
—Claptrap
Day 3
Squad
The Vault Hunters in Borderlands are the playable characters, who all seek the Vault and its rumored treasure. In Borderlands 3, there are four original Vault Hunters.
Day 4
Amara is one of the playable characters in Borderlands 3. Like Lilith, she is a Siren.
Day 5
Axton01
Axton is a playable character in Borderlands 2. He is a mercenary associated with Lilith's Crimson Raiders, who in Borderlands 3 are tasked with investigating the Children of the Vault cult. Axton's involvement in Borderlands 3 is currently unknown.

He also dislikes cats.

Day 6
Calypso twins
The Calypso Twins Tyreen and Troy are the leaders of the Children of the Vault cult in Borderlands 3. Tyreen is one of the six Sirens; Troy has tattoo markings similar to those of the Sirens.
Day 7
Unforgiven BL3
Legendary items are rare weapons featuring unique red text effects, with a yellow, orange or dark orange coloration on their item cards in Borderlands, and an orange coloration in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Unlike unique items, legendary items can spawn at any time, can usually be acquired anywhere, and don't have any restrictions on their parts, provided generic rules are respected.

The Jakobs Unforgiven pistol is an example of a Legendary weapon in Borderlands 3

Day 8
BL3 Tina
Tiny Tina isn't quite so tiny anymore: in her Borderlands 3 appearance, the thirteen-year-old explosives expert is now all grown up. Her love of explosives, however, seems to have remain unchanged. Like Lilith, Tiny Tina has a connection to Roland and the Crimson Raiders.

Day 9
Lilith phased
A Siren is a woman within the Borderlands Universe who has incredible powers, and can be distinguished by a series of tattoos running down one half of her body. Handsome Jack has stated that no more than six Sirens can exist at the same time. At the time of Borderlands 2, Lilith, Maya, and Angel were known to be Sirens. A fourth, the now deceased Commandant Steele, whose Crimson Lance was revived under Roland as the Crimson Raiders, was also confirmed to be a Siren. At the time of Borderlands 3, at least two more Sirens have been identified: the Vault Hunter Amara, and the cult leader Tyreen Calypso, bringing the total number of identified Sirens to six. It is unknown if there are other living Sirens at this time.

Apart from their tattoos, Sirens are unified by their Phase-based abilities like Phasewalk, Phase Strike, and Phaseslam, as well as their ability to generate wings.

Join the discussion about Siren here.
Day 10
Maya bl3 reveal trailer
Maya the Siren was a playable character in Borderlands 2 and is an NPC in Borderlands 3. In the official announce trailer, Maya appears with an unidentified younger woman. Their participation in the Borderlands 3 storyline is so far unknown.
Day 11
Moze the Gunner is one of four playable Vault Hunters in Borderlands 3. Like Roland and Axton, Moze fought on behalf of a Pandoran weapons manufacturer before becoming a Vault Hunter: Moze was the sole survivor of a failed Vladof mission in Darzaran Bay. She attributes her survival to the protection of "Iron Bear", a 15-ton titanium mech, and the two remain best friends.
Day 12
Zane the Operative is the brother of the infamous bandits Captain Flynt and Baron Flynt, both of whom have tried to kill him in the past. This might explain why Zane feels that his digital clone is the only one who understands him. Zane and Zer0 knew each other from assassin school at some point in the past. At the time of Borderlands 3, Zane seems to generally spend his time disorienting, disrupting, and destroying.
Day 13
Effervescent rarity items are rare weapons featuring unique red text effects. The items have cycling colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Effervescent items appear in the Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary DLC. It is unknown if the items will make a return in Borderlands 3
Day 14
Zer0 bl3 intro screen
Zer0 the Assassin is a playable Vault Hunter in Borderlands 2. Zer0 is cryptic: he speaks mostly in haiku, or in emotes or text displayed as a hologram over his face. Zane seems to know Zer0's true identity, but it is unclear how closely the two have worked together or will work together in the future. Zer0 will be a non-playable character in Borderlands 3.
Assassinated
What a satisfying word
With five syllables.
—Zer0
Day 15
FL4K the Beastmaster is a playable Vault Hunter in Borderlands 3. FL4K is an AI who relates to animals much better than they do to humans. As such, FL4K chooses to travel with a variety of animals, all of whom may battle alongside of FL4K, depending on the situation. These include Rakks, a Spiderant, a Skag, and a Stabber Jabber. Amongst a backpack of supplies and weapons, FL4K carries a big, pink, spiked pet food bowl for their companions.

Day 16
Skill-tree-screen
Action Skills, or abilities, are unique to each Vault Hunter or Class in the world of Borderlands. As such, Action Skills define the playstyle of each Vault Hunter.
Day 17
Fry elemental relic
Artifacts in Borderlands and Relics in Borderlands 2 are powerful items of Eridian origin that bestow special effects on a player's character. Artifacts grant Elemental Damage and bonuses for a specific class Action Skill; Relics on the other hand are not class-restricted and may or may not be tied to a specific type of elemental damage. Apart from being powerful and sought-after items, often earned as quest rewards, Artifacts and Relics are significant because of their ties to the Eridians. Sirens are said to thrive off of Eridium ore, a material known to the ancient alien race of Eridians that produced these items. It is unclear if more about these connections will be made known in Borderlands 3, or if Artifacts, Relics, or a similar item will be found in the new game.
Day 18
Borderlands-3-classes
Each Vault Hunter in Borderlands represents a distinct class. Each class has its own strengths and weaknesses, and follows a unique progression path called a skill tree. When playing with others, classes can take on certain roles, like that of a tank or a healer. In Borderlands 3, players may swap between three skill trees per class.
Day 19
7ac64594
Pearlescent (sometimes referred to as Cyan) weapons and shields are the rarest loot in the game. In Borderlands, only one Pearlescent weapon or item was associated with each manufacturer or weapon. In Borderlands 2, this formula wasn't followed as closely (Jakobs is associated with two weapons, and there are two Assault Rifles). The inclusion of Pearlescent weapons in Borderlands 3 is currently unknown.
Day 20

New and returning players alike will want to catch up on the Borderlands story so far before the release of Borderlands 3.
Day 21
Mayhem Mode
Mayhem Mode is a new mode introduced in Borderlands 3. Mayhem Mode is activated upon the completion of the main story of Borderlands 3.

Players are taken to a mysterious terminal aboard Sanctuary III that can enable three difficulty levels: Mayhem 1, Mayhem 2, or Mayhem 3. Taking on one of these Mayhem Modes ups the ante on risks and rewards across all worlds: enemies get increased health, shields, and armor, while you get bonus cash, Eridium, experience gains, and chances for better loot.

Mayhem Mode applies Mayhem Mods to any planet you visit, which force you to adapt to new playstyles and combat approaches in response to a random selection of modifiers.

Day 22
Eden-6 teaser
Eden-6 is a swampy planet inhabited by Saurians and Stabber Jabbers, amongst other things. The first mention of Eden-6 in the Borderlands Universe was in Claptrap's New Robot Revolution. In Borderlands 3, Eden-6 is one of the planets that players may visit via Sanctuary III.
Day 23
Gettleburger
The Gettleburger is a unique rocket launcher manufactured by Torgue in Borderlands 3. Like many legendary and unique weapons in Borderlands, the Gettleburger features a special effect: it fires Gettleburger cheeseburgers.

Special Weapon Effects

  • Dayum Dayum DAYUM
  • 4.5x Weapon Zoom

Day 24

Day 25
Promethea
The planet Promethea was first exploited by the Atlas corporation, who was able to reverse-engineer alien technology present on the planet to make advanced machinery and weapons. The planet is now a futuristic metropolis. In Borderlands 3, the Maliwan Corporation has taken over the Atlas Corporation settlement in cooperation with the Calypso Twins. Their motivation for doing so is currently unknown, but it has drawn the attention of the Crimson Raiders, who are actively seeking recruits.
Day 26
BL3 Reveal Event Screenshots Zane 3840x
Weapons in Borderlands can be categorized by type, Manufacturer, Elemental Damage, and Rarity. Borderlands 3 features "bazillions" of guns, including firearms with self-propelling bullet shields, rifles that spawn fire-spewing volcanoes, guns that grow legs and chase down enemies while hurling verbal assaults, and RPG's that fire cheesburgers

Currently known Manufacturer's in Borderlands 3 are:

  • COV, who specialize in weapons with infinite reserves and are prone to overheating
  • Torgue, who specialize in weapons that can fire sticky projectiles
  • Maliwan, who specialize in weapons that can switch between elemental damage types
  • Jakobs, who specialize in weapons with high critical damage and bullet ricochet
  • Vladof, who specialize in rapid-fire weapons with lots of attachments
  • Hyperion, who specialize in weapons that generate shields around the user
  • Atlas, who specialize in weapons that are able to track enemies with swarms of bullets

  • Dahl, who specialize in weapons with alternate-fire modes.
Day 27
In this Fandom exclusive interview, Brian Lee White and Brian Trifon of Finishing Move discuss the challenges and rewards of creating the score for Borderlands 3. Over top of previously-unseen gameplay footage, hear how the sounds of scraping shovels, heavy metal guitars, Turkish oud, and Bulgarian choirs combine to create the soundtrack to the latest entry in the Borderlands series.
Day 28
Borderlands3-sanctuary-bridge1

Planets expected to be included in the game, based on information released so far, include Pandora, Eden-6, Athenas. However, the list of accessible planets may grow, as many more planets exist in the Borderlands Universe.
Join the discussion about Planets here.
Day 29

Radiation is a new type of Elemental Damage in Borderlands 3. Irradiated enemies damage enemies around them.
Day 30
Borderlands3 CoverArt

The game introduces four new playable characters: Amara the Siren, FL4K the Beastmaster, Moze the Gunner, and Zane the Operative, who start out as new recruits for Lilith's Crimson Raiders and are subsequently tasked with investigating the Children of the Vault cult and their mysterious leaders, the Calypso twins Tyreen and Troy. Players will board the Sanctuary III and, for the first time in series history, adventure outside of the Pandoran system as they track down clues and acquire precious loot. Familiar faces abound onboard the ship, including Claptrap, Moxxi, and Ellie. Borderlands 3 will release on September 13th 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and on the Epic Games Store for PC and on Steam in April 2020.
