Fatale is a legendary submachine gun in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel manufactured by Hyperion. Fatale is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source, but has an increased chance to drop from Drongo Bones located in Outlands Canyon.

Special Weapon Effects[]

Stone-cold Killer. – Always cryo. Increased accuracy, magazine size, critical hit damage and recoil reduction rate.

Usage & Description[]

The Fatale reaches its peak accuracy faster than most other Hyperion SMGs in sustained fire, even those of similar or higher levels. Its large magazine, high maximum accuracy, and critical hit damage bonus make it an excellent choice for almost any combat situation, especially attaining a Second Wind. Its only drawback is that it is weak against cryo-resistant or shielded enemies, which are prevalent in True Vault Hunter and Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode.

Trivia[]

  • The flavor text stone cold fox means somebody who is very attractive.
    • Fatale is the feminine form of the French word for "Fatal". A femme fatale is a very seductive and mysterious woman.
  • The Fatale was leaked in Kotaku's 8 Minutes of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's Low-Gravity Action.
  • The Fatale uses the same material and special effects as the Bitch in Borderlands 2.
  • In the Russian localization, this weapon was renamed as an analog of the legendary Hyperion SMGs from Borderlands and Borderlands 2 named as Beach, and it received the same localized name, rus. "Сучонок".
