Embrace the Pain is a tier 2 skill in Krieg's Mania skill tree. It allows Krieg to increase his Fire Rate while his shield is down and increases his Shield Recharge Delay for each skill invested.

Effects

• +7% fire rate per rank when shields are down.
• +1 second shield recharge delay per rank.

Notes

• The increase in shield recharge delay facilitate the usage of Roid Damage from maylay shields, such as Hide of Terramorphous or Order.
• The increase in shield recharge delay also helps Krieg take advantage of bonuses from other skills in the Mania skill tree such as Empty the Rage, Fuel the Rampage, Feed the Meat, and Salt the Wound.
  • Additionally, Krieg can benefit from these bonuses passively by using The Rough Rider shield.
• However, the skill does not work while using Krieg's action skill, Buzz Axe Rampage. The bonus to fire rate does not affect how fast the buzzaxe can be thrown like all other fire rate bonuses would, and the shield recharge delay isn't added.  ^{[Reference needed]}
