Elder Skags are simply older skags, and appear to be a continuation of the Spitter evolutionary line. Their color differs from their younger counterparts, taking on a yellow/brown hue. Similar to Spitters, they have spikes along their back, and are able to produce gobs of corrosive goo. They are armored on the head and back, but are much less resilient than larger skag variants.

Appearances

Strategy

Their armored sections reduce all bullet and melee damage by about three quarters. They are resistant to corrosive damage.

Their attacks include a charge that knocks their target back, a slow ranged attack where they stand on their hind legs and spit, the typical claw attack all skags have, and a unique attack where they stick out their tongue and lash it around to whip anything within range.

Their charge attack, though easy to avoid, can knock a Vault Hunter around and easily disorient them. Their ranged attack is easily sidestepped, but can be a nuisance when also faced with melee skags.

Like all skags their mouth is their sole critical hit area, and is exposed during roars, spitting, and tongue attacks.
