Devourer is the title of a group of Common pistols in Borderlands 3 manufactured by Maliwan using the Alien barrel. The Devourer is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.
Usage & Description[]
Devourers rapidly fire projectiles that embed themselves into their target and explode shortly afterwards, with the explosion dealing more damage than the initial impact. Devourers are reminiscent of E-Tech Spikers from Borderlands 2, though unlike their predecessors, Devourer projectiles detonate sooner and deal damage from impacting with their target.
Like all Maliwan weapons with the Alien barrel, Devourers lack the charge time that most other Maliwan guns possess, putting them more in line with weapons from other manufacturers.
The accessory of alien pistol barrel can provide +60% melee damage bonus, which is unique among Maliwan handguns.
As an alien barrel weapon, it only comes in rare and epic rarity.
