The Devil's Foursum projectile pattern makes it ideal for targeting enemies behind small obstacles, and close-range enemies. With its increased blast radius, massive amounts of damage can be dealt if all three projectiles hit.

Usage & Description

The Devil Foursum has two ranges where it's effective, either point blank, or at the specific fixed distance where the projectiles meet. Using the weapon relies upon positioning the target in such a way that the target is in one of those two regions, as otherwise it won't connect. Due to the high splash radius, direct hits are often not necessary, especially at range.

Using the Foursum in close quarters can oftentimes result in damage being dealt to the user, though this is not necessarily a downside. In particular, The Transformer turns the damage of a Shock variant into Shields for the user.

Notes

  • The projectiles will explode on contact with any surface or enemy.

Trivia

  • Its name is a play on the phrase "devil's three-way," a three-way with two men.
  • Its color scheme is evocative of Unkempt Harold, a legendary Torgue pistol in Borderlands 2 which also featured splitting projectiles.
  • The flavor text is the catchphrase of John "Hannibal" Smith from the 1983 television series The A-Team.
