Special Weapon Effects

I've been hired for destruction. – Randomly alternates between elements while firing. Projectiles travel in a corkscrew motion. Alternative Fire mode determines splash damage type.

Usage & Description

The Destructo Spinner takes full advantage of Maliwan's dual-element capacity by firing both of its listed elements at once. While this does provide a fair amount of versatility, it can also be a hindrance if one of the elements is not ideal for the fight. Due to its firing pattern and projectile speed, the Destructo Spinner fares best at close to medium range.

Certain elemental combinations are more ideal than others, such as:

  • Incendiary and shock. This combination can deal with the vast majority of enemies, so long as they are not armored.
  • Shock and radiation. These elements deal bonus damage to shields, allowing them to tear through shielded enemies.
  • Corrosive and cryo. These elements deal bonus damage to armor and will make quick work of armored enemies.
  • Cryo and radiation. These two "utility" elements are useful for crowd control. They also happen to cover each other's weaknesses.

Notes

  • Projectiles of different elemental types corkscrew in opposite directions.
