Dave is a resident of the small town of Overlook in The Highlands. He remains in his shack and is never seen in person, only communicating via ECHO messages.
Background
Dave is a misogynist who enjoys harassing Karima, the current administrator of Overlook. He also briefly interacts with the Vault Hunters as they experience Claptrap's memories during the Claptastic Voyage DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
Involvement
In the Claptastic Voyage mission The Psychology of a Claptrap, Claptrap asks Dave where to procure fireworks for the Vault Hunter Tournament halftime show. He warns Claptrap not to take the explosives, although Claptrap ignores it, resulting in massive casualties.
In Borderlands 2, Dave will frequently butt in with disparaging comments during the missions The Overlooked: Medicine Man, The Overlooked: Shields Up, and The Overlooked: This is Only a Test. During the last mission, Karima orders the Vault Hunters to fire a mortar shell on his shack, causing it to fall down a cliff and kill him.
