Special Weapon Effects

Peer-to-peer shield sharing. – Always shock. 0 fuse time. Very slow travel speed. Significantly increased damage. Slowly regenerates grenade ammo over time. Spawns homing shield boosters upon damaging enemies.

Usage & Description

  • The spawned shield boosters will always chase the closest Vault Hunter.
  • The homing shield boosters each restore their targeted character's shield by 25%, much like the boosters dropped from a Booster Shield. Because of this, the Data Scrubber works very well with high capacity shields, such as a Turtle Shield. The grenade regeneration effectively provides an infinite source of boosters, while the grenade itself is effective against shielded enemies.
    • The homing shield boosters have a short range and will despawn shortly after they are spawned. They are also unable to bypass obstacles. It thus performs well in areas with little to no obstructions, but otherwise will suffer significantly.
    • An under-leveled Data Scrubber is still useful for its grenade regeneration and shield boosters.
  • Care should be taken when using this grenade at close range, as the Data Scrubber's blast has a large radius and can easily deplete the Vault Hunter's own shield and health.
