Core Collection is Marcus' first job for you in The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.
Walkthrough
Objectives
Collect Lance energy cores for Marcus.

"Hello! With the Crimson Lance in the area there is a great opportunity for us. Their armor has these special energy cores inside them. A top secret piece of Atlas technology. Torgue, Maliwan, and Hyperion are always on the lookout for them. If you bring some to me there is a lot of dough in it for you."
Strategy
There isn't much strategy to this mission - accept it as early as possible, and pick up the cores the Lance drop. You will eventually complete the mission.

- This mission can only be obtained after completing the story mission Making a Monster for Scooter.
- While this mission is active in your log, the Lance will drop three kinds of cores: speed, shock, or power. Picking one up, however, gives you a temporary boost in a stat, as explained below:
- Shock cores are blue, and, when picked up, quickly recharge your shield and cause you to occasionally emit Shock Novas.
- Power cores are red, and, when picked up, increases your melee damage and projectile damage for a period of time.
- Speed cores are yellow, and, when picked up, give you a boost to both movement speed and the XP you gain from killing enemies.
- Note: once you turn this mission in, Lance will no longer drop the cores, so you can no longer recieve the boosts. If you want to have the Lance continue dropping them, simply refrain from turning in the quest.
