The control interface for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a standard system common to many first person shooter games, with a few quirks for the more esoteric control functions in the game.

Vehicle combat requires a new control interface to succeed the normal first person interface used for pedestrian control.

Stingray[]
Hover vehicles behave differently from their wheeled counterparts, and are able to drift sideways as easily as wheeled vehicles can reverse. They lack the brakes and horns of wheeled vehicles however. The Stingray has a wide range of movement, and is able to apply vertical thrust to rise further off the ground, and can reverse this to implement a downward slam.
