The Commerce's red text to pop culture (I believe) is a reference to Marvel's "The Avengers" in the scene where Tony Stark and Loki are practically talking about who has a stronger force.

The Commerce's red text is a reference to a comment made by [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_G._Watt James Gaius Watt] stating "I have a black, a woman, two Jews and a cripple. And we have talent."

The Soldier, I do believe, refers to Captain America. A Siren is like a god, right? Well, Thor is a god. Two scooters? Tony refers to having two practical assassins on his force, thus the "two Scooters" being Black Widow and Hawkeye. Lastly, "and a Claptrap" would refer to himself, Iron Man.

Tony refers to The Hulk later... Which is not mentioned in the red text.

The Commerce is a Unique SMG manufactured by Hyperion. Commerce obtained from Assassin Wot in Southpaw Steam & Power.

Special Weapon Effects

I have a Soldier, a Siren, two Scooters and a Claptrap. – Always Shock, reduced damage and faster reload. When moving, a flashing animated effect covers the entire weapon surface. Also gains accuracy faster than most Hyperion firearms, with the exception of the Bitch.

Usage & Description

The Commerce is a below average SMG in most circumstances. As it is an early-game drop it can be of use to players in their first playthrough, but it's soon outclassed by almost every other purple-rarity or better SMG.

Notes

  • Wot has a nearly guaranteed chance to drop the Commerce, that is if he is killed using a pistol.

Theory

The Commerce's red text is a reference to a comment made by James Gaius Watt stating "I have a black, a woman, two Jews and a cripple. And we have talent."
